Garmin has launched the third-generation MARQ collection: six luxury tool watches with LTE calls, satellite messaging, and worldwide maps. US prices start at USD 2,500, and Garmin’s announcement says the range is available now. Garmin hasn’t announced UAE pricing yet.

The lineup covers Adventurer, Athlete, Aviator, Commander, Golfer and a new Diver model. All six share a Grade-5 titanium case, sapphire lens, ceramic bezel, a larger 1.4-inch AMOLED display, plus a speaker, microphone, and LED flashlight.

What’s new over MARQ Gen 2

In its Gen 2-to-Gen 3 comparison, Garmin highlights connectivity, navigation, and everyday hardware as the main upgrades. Worldwide TopoActive maps now come preloaded with address search, so you can enter a destination on the watch and get directions without first planning a route on your phone.

The speaker and microphone handle voice commands on the watch. With a connected phone, you can also use your phone’s assistant to reply to messages. Garmin rates every model at up to 18 days in smartwatch mode.

Each model gets its own inlays, from compass and UTC markings to an 18-hole indicator, along with watch faces inspired by World Timer, Panda and Flieger designs.

LTE calls and satellite messaging

Built-in inReach technology lets the watches make LTE calls and send text and voice messages over LTE or satellite. Garmin Locate shares your live location with family in the Garmin Messenger app, and satellite SOS connects to the 24/7 Garmin Response coordination centre. Voice calls work over LTE only.

All of this requires an active plan. Garmin says LTE coverage isn’t available in some regions, and the watches’ satellite and SOS features have more limitations than its dedicated inReach devices.

Six models

Adventurer pairs an Italian leather strap with compass markings, multi-layered maps and ClimbPro, which shows current and upcoming climbs without a pre-planned course.

Athlete uses a silicone strap and a VO2 max bezel, plus stamina and running-economy metrics for runners.

Aviator brings flight maps, aviation weather and a dedicated UTC hand on a padded calfskin bracelet with a black ceramic bezel.

Commander adds a camouflage woven band, micro-knurled buttons, stealth mode, night-vision support and an Applied Ballistics solver. The

Diver is new to the family, with a microadjust strap, scuba, apnea, and snorkelling modes to 40 metres, plus boating tools such as autopilot control and tack assist. Every Gen 3 model has leakproof buttons and a 40-metre dive rating.

Golfer carries more than 43,000 preloaded courses, Virtual Caddie and green contour data, which need a Garmin Golf membership.

Health and recovery

The watches add an ECG app alongside stress, sleep, Pulse Ox and heart rate variability tracking. Morning reports summarise overnight recovery, while evening reports cover sleep needs and the next day’s workout, weather and events.

The ECG app records heart rhythm and can detect signs of atrial fibrillation. It’s for adults aged 22 and over and isn’t available in every region. Health features often launch region by region, as with the Apple Watch Series 12 in the UAE. For Garmin’s non-luxury outdoor range, see our coverage of the Fenix 9 and Fenix 9 Pro.
