The Motorola Signature 27 will feature a 6.8-inch tandem OLED screen rated for 12,000 nits and a 2nm Snapdragon chip, according to specs mentioned in a video Danny Winget made “in partnership with Motorola”.
Motorola hasn’t published a full spec sheet, price or UAE date. On paper, the specs make the Signature 27 a serious rival to Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The screen is a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, which Motorola has already confirmed, with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It runs Android 17 out of the box and gets seven years of OS updates. PhoneArena also mentions GrapheneOS support.
The back has three cameras: a 50MP Lytia 910 main sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide, plus an action sensor. The olive unit pictured has a dedicated AI button on the top left, opposite the volume and power buttons. Winget mentioned a 40% larger vapour chamber, but not what it’s larger than. Battery details are thinner. Winget only called it “sizable”, and PhoneArena cites earlier reports for the 6,000mAh figure. We don’t know charging speeds yet.
PhoneArena’s case against the Galaxy S26 Ultra starts with the chip. Samsung’s phone uses the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the Motorola gets Qualcomm’s latest 2nm chip. PhoneArena says the Signature 27 also looks better on battery and display. The cameras flip the formula: PhoneArena notes Samsung keeps its 200MP main sensor, plus a 50MP 5x periscope and a 10MP 3x zoom. Memeburn notes both phones promise seven years of OS upgrades, but Motorola has no equivalent to Samsung’s S Pen and Privacy Display. PhoneArena admits the real winner won’t be clear until the Signature 27 is out and tested.
When Motorola unveiled the Signature 27 in September, it confirmed the chip, the Lytia 910 main camera, the 200MP periscope, seven years of updates and Bang & Olufsen audio. It didn’t confirm the display, battery, RAM or price. Separately, PhoneArena reported a listing from Portuguese retailer MegaPC with a starting price of €1,594.90, about $1,600. It lists 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, not Winget’s 16GB, suggesting a different configuration. Motorola hasn’t confirmed either.
It’s unclear when the Signature 27 will reach the UAE, and Motorola hasn’t announced a local price, date, or retailer. PhoneArena says the phone launches on 5 November, though Motorola’s own page promises more information this month. If PhoneArena’s date holds, we’ll know within days how much of Winget’s spec sheet is final.
