Motorola has unveiled the Motorola Signature 27 Extreme, the first phone announced with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 mobile platform. The follow-up to Motorola’s January Signature is set to launch globally before the end of 2026, although Motorola has not announced a price or a UAE release date.
The phone was shown at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit after Motorola’s earlier September 22 confirmation. Motorola’s official product page calls it the company’s most advanced smartphone yet and says more information will be available in November.

Motorola Signature 27 Extreme: camera plane and confirmed specs
The Signature 27 uses a distinctive aluminium camera plane rather than a conventional rectangular camera island. Motorola will offer it in Pantone Coal Smoke with a tactical-weave finish and Pantone Capulet Olive with a brushed, textile-inspired finish.
The confirmed camera hardware includes a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 910 main sensor with LOFIC technology and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. Motorola has not yet published the full camera layout or the rest of the phone’s core specifications. The Verge report notes that the Lytia 910 is designed to improve dynamic range, but a full test will have to wait.
Seven years of updates and B&O audio
Motorola is also promising seven years of Android updates and seven years of security updates. That matches the support period offered by Google and Samsung for their latest flagship phones, a welcome change from Motorola’s historically shorter support commitments. Android Authority’s report says the phone will also be the first Motorola model to carry Bang & Olufsen audio branding.
The company has not confirmed the Signature 27’s display, battery, charging speeds, storage, RAM or price. UAE availability is also unconfirmed. Motorola’s first Signature did not launch in the US, but the Signature 27 is planned for that market as part of the global rollout.
