Summer Game Fest 2026 delivered major reveals including Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Resident Evil Veronica, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain and Guild Wars 3, alongside updates for several previously announced games.

Summer Game Fest returned with another two-hour showcase, bringing together new game reveals, release-date announcements and fresh trailers for some of the biggest titles across all platforms.

Geof Keighley's annual showcase opened with the reveal of Resident Evil Veronica, Capcom's remake of Resident Evil - Code: Veronica, before closing with the first proper look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final chapter in Square Enix's remake trilogy.

Between those announcements, the show also delivered a first trailer for Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, the long-awaited return of The Wolf Among Us 2, a release date for Palworld 1.0 and the official reveal of Guild Wars 2. Here's everything announced during the Summer Game Fest 2026.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Square Enix closed Summer Game Fest with the official reveal of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final chapter in its Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. The game is scheduled to launch in Spring 2027, with a simultaneous release planned for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.

The trailer showed Cloud and the party travelling aboard the Highwind as Sephiroth moves closer to godhood and Meteor threatens the planet. Players will be able to freely explore the world from the airship, descend into different regions and revisit locations inlcuding Wutai.

Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind will also join the playable roster, while a new armour-based FIT system introduces additional combat options inspired by the job systems of older Final Fantasy games.

Stellar Blade: Blood Rain

Shift Up officially unveiled Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, the sequel to its 2024 action game. The project is still early in development, but its first trailer offered a substantial look at the darker direction the studio is taking with the follow-up.

The sequel continues the story of the original Stellar Blade while introducing a new protagonist. The trailer moved from a subdued opening sequence into fast-paced combat against large, grotesque creatures in a dense urban environmet. Platforms and a release window have not yet been confirmed.

Street Fighter 6 Year 4 DLC Characters

Capcom revealed the four DLC characters joining Street Fighter 6 during its fourth year of post-launch content. The biggest surprise is Tifa Lockhart from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series, who will make her debut as a guest fighter.

The Year 4 roster will also introduce three original characters: Yasmine, Arjun and Bosch. Release dates and gameplay details for the new fighters have not yet been announced.

The Wolf Among Us 2

After a lengthy wait and multiple delays, The Wolf Among Us 2 returned with a new trailer at Summer Game Fest. Telltale Games confirmed that the sequel is now targeting a 2027 release.

The trailer showed Bigby Wolf investigating a series of grisly murders, while retaining the noir-inspired atmosphere and comic-book visual style associated with the original episodic adventure. Telltale also announced that a remastered version of the first The Wolf Among Us will arrive during the 2026 holiday season.

Palworld 1.0

Pocketpair confirmed that Palworld will officially leave Early Access with the launch of its 1.0 update on July 10, 2026.

The announcement arrived alongside a cinematic trailer, although the developer has not yet outlined the full scope of the update. Palworld originally entered Early Access in January 2024 and has received multiple content updates since launch.

Attack on Titan 3

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force announced Attack on Titan 3, the next entry in the action-game series based on Hajime Isayama’s manga and anime.

The new game will cover the full Attack on Titan storyline, from the early days of the Survey Corps through to its conclusion. The trailer teased battles against the Nine Titans, alongside new story content designed to expand on the characters and lore.

Attack on Titan 3 is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. A release date has not been announced, although Koei Tecmo plans to share more information on July 1.

Clutch

Maverick Games revealed Clutch, an open-world action-driving game from a team led by former Forza Horizon creative director Mike Brown and several senior developers who previously worked on the series.

Rather than focusing purely on festival-style racing, Clutch appears to place greater emphasis on its story campaign, characters and underworld setting. The trailer showed high-speed races, vehicle customisation and action-oriented driving mechanics, including the use of grapple hooks.

Clutch is scheduled to launch in spring 2027.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush

Milestone announced Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, a new open-world racing game based on Mattel’s toy-car franchise.

The game builds on the foundations of the studio’s two Hot Wheels Unleashed titles while moving into a larger free-roaming environment. Players will be able to race across oversized tracks, explore the map and collect a wide range of vehicles.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush launches on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance

Capcom revealed Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, a major expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds that is scheduled to arrive in 2027.

The reveal trailer introduced a new region built around floating islands and aerial traversal. Players will be able to explore the land above the existing world, unlock additional abilities and take on Master Rank hunts against more dangerous monsters, including Elder Dragons.

The expansion is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Among Us Story: On Guard

Innersloth announced Among Us Story: On Guard, a standalone single-player narrative game set in the Among Us universe.

Players take on the role of Guard, a security officer enrolled in a new Crewmate training programme at MIRA Research & Development. The assignment begins as a controlled simulation but quickly spirals into chaos after a murder occurs aboard the ship. Guard must investigate the incident, identify the Impostor and prove their own innocence before the rest of the crew is eliminated.

The game is planned for PC and Nintendo Switch. Innersloth also announced that all 10 episodes of the Among Us animated series are now available to stream on Paramount+.

The Blood of Dawnwalker

Rebel Wolves brought a new trailer for The Blood of Dawnwalker, its upcoming vampire RPG.

The studio was founded by developers who previously worked on The Witcher 3, and its debut project is shaping up to be a dark fantasy adventure built around a world where vampires have seized power. Players take on the role of Coen, a young man caught between humanity and vampirism.

The latest trailer offered another look at the game’s setting, characters and combat ahead of its planned September 2026 release.

Star Wars: Zero Company

Star Wars: Zero Company received a new gameplay trailer and an August 27 release date.

Developed as a turn-based tactical strategy game, Zero Company follows a squad of operatives during the final days of the Clone Wars. The game draws clear inspiration from XCOM, with players assembling a team and making decisions across tactical combat encounters.

The new trailer also confirmed that Anakin Skywalker will appear in the game.

Lords of the Fallen II

CI Games and Hexworks released a new platform announcement trailer for Lords of the Fallen II.

The action RPG is now confirmed to launch on Steam alongside the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S when it arrives in autumn 2026. The update follows the earlier announcement that the PC version would initially be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

Saw: Genesis

Bloober Team announced Saw: Genesis, a 3v1 asymmetrical multiplayer horror game set in the Saw universe.

One player controls the Judge, a precursor to Jigsaw who manipulates the match from the shadows, while three other players take on the role of the Accused and attempt to survive a deadly maze of traps, pressure and difficult choices.

The game is co-developed by Anshar Studios and Broken Mirror Games, with Bloober Team serving as publisher. Saw: Genesis is scheduled to enter Early Access in autumn 2026.

1666: Amsterdam

Patrice Désilets, one of the original creators of Assassin’s Creed, returned to Summer Game Fest to reintroduce 1666: Amsterdam.

The third-person action-adventure is set in a dark interpretation of 17th-century Amsterdam and places a strong focus on story-driven exploration. Désilets confirmed that a free 30-minute prologue is available now on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The full game will enter Early Access on PC later this year, with console versions planned for a later date.

Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor

2K and Hangar 13 announced Man of Honor, a story expansion for Mafia: The Old Country.

The DLC adds two new story chapters and additional Free Ride content, expanding Enzo’s journey while introducing a younger version of Don Salieri from the original Mafia.

Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor launches on August 14, 2026.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Jagex confirmed that RuneScape: Dragonwilds will leave Early Access and launch in full on September 15, 2026.

The open-world survival-crafting game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, marking the first time the RuneScape franchise has appeared on consoles. The 1.0 release will include the new Scorned Wilderness update, alongside content from the upcoming Umbral Sands expansion.

Dragonwilds originally launched in Early Access on PC in April 2025.

Virtua Fighter Crossroads

RGG Studio officially revealed the title of its new Virtua Fighter game: Virtua Fighter Crossroads.

The trailer suggested that the revival will go beyond the traditional arcade-fighting structure, with a story-driven campaign that appears to involve organised crime and a darker urban setting. It is an interesting direction for the series, particularly with the project being handled by the studio behind the Like a Dragon games.

Virtua Fighter Crossroads is scheduled to launch in 2027.

Guild Wars 3

ArenaNet officially announced Guild Wars 3, confirming that the long-running MMORPG series is moving into its next chapter.

The studio described the new game as a modern evolution of the MMO, with a greater focus on momentum-based movement, exploration and a new approach to combat. Guild Wars 3 is in development for PC and PlayStation 5, with no Xbox version announced at this stage.

The first beta test is scheduled to begin in autumn 2027.

CrossFire

Smilegate and That’s No Moon revealed a new single-player CrossFire game with a strong emphasis on cinematic storytelling, tactical movement and character-driven action.

The studio includes former developers from Naughty Dog and several other major teams. The trailer introduced an elite military duo and highlighted an adaptive-cover system that allows the player character to dynamically adjust their stance based on the environment and enemy lines of sight.

A release date has not yet been announced.

Gundam Rogue Orbit

Bandai Namco announced Gundam Rogue Orbit, a fast-paced action game set in a new timeline within the wider Gundam universe.

Players take on the role of ace pilot RE-X, who operates a high-mobility suit known as Gundam Helix. The game follows RE-X and a group of soldiers as they fight against an unknown threat to humanity.

The trailer showed large-scale battles, enemy hordes and boss encounters across expansive environments. Gundam Rogue Orbit launches in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin

PlatinumGames is developing a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin game in partnership with Paramount Game Studios.

The teaser trailer did not reveal any gameplay, but it confirmed that the project will adapt the darker comic-book storyline. Set in a battle-ravaged future version of New York City, the story follows the last surviving Turtle as he seeks justice for the family he lost.

A release window and platforms have not yet been announced.

Haex

Dead Astronauts revealed Haex, a science-fiction first-person shooter scheduled to launch in 2027.

The announcement trailer showed a surreal world filled with towering obelisks, mysterious structures and fast-paced movement abilities. The project comes from developers who previously worked on The Division, although its setting and visual direction appear to be considerably more experimental.

Stranger Than Heaven

RGG Studio released a new trailer for Stranger Than Heaven and confirmed that the game will launch on January 15, 2027.

The trailer also revealed that Tupac Shakur will appear in the game, joining Snoop Dogg, who was previously confirmed as part of its cast. Snoop Dogg appeared on stage during the showcase to discuss the inclusion of the late rapper and to confirm that Death Row Games is still active.

Blood Message

NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment brought a new trailer for Blood Message, a cinematic linear action-adventure game set during the late Tang Dynasty in 848 AD.

Players control a nameless messenger travelling east to deliver information that could determine the fate of his homeland. The game places a strong focus on its historical setting, with the journey framed by the customs, landscapes and culture of the era.

Blood Message is currently in development for PC and consoles. A release window has not been announced.

gen ATLAS

Fumito Ueda and genDesign revealed the official title of their next game: gen ATLAS.

Previously teased under the working title Project Robot, the science-fiction adventure features enormous machines, desolate environments and the type of scale-driven exploration associated with Ueda’s previous work on Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian.

The trailer showed a human-sized character climbing across a massive robot, alongside glimpses of third-person shooting. Platforms and a release window have not yet been confirmed.

Alien: Isolation 2

Creative Assembly released the first trailer for Alien: Isolation 2, offering an early look at its new setting.

The sequel moves away from the confines of a single spaceship and takes place on Kurosaki Station, a colony environment located on a planet. The developers described the location as a new hunting ground for the Xenomorph, with the game once again focused on survival and escape rather than direct confrontation.

A release window has not yet been announced.

Cuphead Sequel and Mighty Cuphead Adventure

Studio MDHR confirmed that a full sequel to Cuphead is in development.

The studio did not reveal many details about the project, which is still at an early stage, but it also announced a smaller spin-off titled Mighty Cuphead Adventure. Unlike the hand-drawn animation of the original game, the spin-off adopts an 8-bit visual style and is being developed as a retro action-platformer shooter.

Release dates and platforms have not yet been announced.

Resident Evil Veronica

Capcom opened Summer Game Fest with the reveal of Resident Evil Veronica, a remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica.

The debut trailer showed a first-person sequence set in Paris, beginning with a seemingly ordinary apartment visit before descending into familiar survival-horror territory. The remake drops the “Code” portion of the original title and is scheduled to arrive in 2027.

Capcom has not yet confirmed platforms or revealed further gameplay details.
