Nintendo has wrapped up its June 2026 Nintendo Direct, offering a clearer picture of what Switch 2 owners can expect during the second half of the year and into 2027.
The 50-min presentation covered a broad mix of first-party releases, third-party ports, expansions and surprise announcements. Nintendo saved its biggest reveak for the end of the show, confirming a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2. However, the showcase also included the return of Kingdom Hearts 4, a new Xenoblade game, a release date for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, and a fresh look at FromSoftware's The Duskbloods.
There was a lot to keep track of, so here is everything announced during Nintendo Direct June 2026.
Rhythm Heaven Groove
Nintendo opened the Direct with a new look at Rhythm Heaven Groove, which launches for Nintendo Switch on July 2. The rhythm game features more than 80 challenges build around precisely timed button presses, alongside more than 30 multiplayer games supporting up to four players.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Capcom's Onimusha: Way of the Sword is coming to Switch on September 25, 2026. The latest trailer offered another look at its sword-based combat and supernatural enemies ahead of its release later this year.
Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen
Capcom announced Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, a new expansion for its open-world action RPG. The title borrows its name from the expansion released for the original Dragon's Dogma and is due to launch on October 9 for Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will be sold separately for existing owners and included in a bundle for new players.
Stellar Blade
Shift Up is bringing the original Stellar Blade on Switch 2. The action game previously launched on PS5 and PC, and its arrival on Nintendo's latest console is planned for sometime in 2026. The announcement came shortly after Stellar Blade 2 was revealed during Summer Game Fest.
Orbitals
Two-player cooperative adventure Orbitals is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3. The game is built around teamwork as two players explore a science-fiction world together and solve challenges using their different abilities.
Rayman Legends Retold
Ubisoft confirmed that Rayman Legends Retold is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 1. The game is a reimagined version of the 2013 platformer, with redesigned 3D visuals and additional content rather than a straightforward port.
Big Walk
Big Walk, the cooperative multiplayer adventure from the creators of Untitled Goose Game, will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 4. Players explore a peaceful world with friends, solve puzzles and use an assortment of tools to communicate when their usual methods of staying in contact are disrupted.
One Piece: Grand Gourmet
One Piece: Grand Gourmet is a restaurant management game featuring the Straw Hat Crew. Players begin with a modest ship-based restaurant before gathering ingredients, preparing meals and designing the space to attract customers. More than 400 characters from the One Piece universe will appear in pixel-art form. The game launches on October 23 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, the App Store and Google Play.
Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass
Pokémon Pokopia is receiving a free update in August that introduces the Dive ability, allowing players to explore the ocean floor and encounter Pokémon living underwater. Nintendo also announced a paid Expansion Pass, which is available to purchase now. Its first part, Bubbly Basin, is scheduled to arrive in August.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
Nintendo revealed that Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17. The latest strategy RPG in the series takes place in the Dagdan Empire, where warriors compete in the Heroic Games for the chance to have a wish granted.
Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet
Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet takes the series into an open-world setting. The sequel will introduce a new planet to explore and additional abilities based around its familiar gum-powered ninja combat. It is planned for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC
Nintendo announced a limited-time collaboration between Donkey Kong Bananza and Super Mario Bros. as part of the paid DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC. The collaboration includes Mario-inspired outfits and will roll out across four waves, with the first wave available from today.
Nintendo is also introducing limited-time challenges across Donkey Kong Bananza and selected classic Donkey Kong titles through Nintendo Switch Online, allowing players to earn collectible digital Challenge Cards.
JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON
JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON is an eight-player survivors-style action game set in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. Players fight cursed spirits while competing against other players to earn the highest score and remain standing at the end of the match. It is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
Lords of the Fallen II
Lords of the Fallen II is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this autumn. The sequel continues the series’ dark fantasy action RPG format, with combat built around demanding encounters and travel between connected worlds.
Lies of P: Complete Edition
Lies of P: Complete Edition launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on August 6. The package includes the original game and its Overture expansion, bringing the full version of the Pinocchio-inspired action RPG to Nintendo’s latest console.
Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition
Capcom is bringing Devil May Cry 5 to Nintendo Switch 2 on June 23. The new Devil Hunter Edition will run at 60fps in both docked and handheld modes, with Nero, Dante, V and Vergil all playable.
Muramasa: Revenant Blades
Muramasa: Revenant Blades is coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2027. The side-scrolling action game brings its distinctive hand-painted visual style and sword-based combat to Nintendo’s current consoles.
Xenoblade Chronicles Nintendo Switch 2 Editions
The first three Xenoblade Chronicles games are receiving Nintendo Switch 2 editions with improved performance and additional content.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and its upgrade pack are available now. The digital Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 launches on July 30, followed by Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on December 3.
Xenoblade Genesis
Monolith Soft is working on a new entry in the series called Xenoblade Genesis. Nintendo did not reveal many details about the game during the Direct, but the announcement trailer confirmed that it is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort brings the series back to Wuhu Island when it launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22.
The game features 12 sports, including Boxing, Table Tennis, Archery, Tennis, Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, Golf and Thumb Wrestling. Leisure activities such as Skateboarding, Power Cruising and Prop Plane are also included, alongside Jump Rope warm-ups. Several activities make use of the Joy-Con 2 controllers in different ways, including mouse controls for Skateboarding.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds
RuneScape: Dragonwilds is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15. The survival adventure takes players into a hostile wilderness shaped by dragons, with exploration, crafting and combat forming the core of the experience.
Hello Kitty Party Land
Hello Kitty Party Land will launch for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 29. The multiplayer party game features more than 140 Sanrio characters and a collection of themed minigames designed for solo and group play.
Star Fox
Nintendo released a free demo for Star Fox following the Direct. The full game launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25, giving players an early opportunity to try its updated take on the series before release.
Final Fantasy Resonance
Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Resonance, a new turn-based RPG presented in the HD-2D visual style. The game launches on October 22, 2026 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Pikuniku 2
Pikuniku 2 expands the quirky puzzle-adventure series into a colourful 3D world. Players will explore, interact with unusual characters and join a resistance movement when the game arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World
Square Enix revealed Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, which launches for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on December 3. The RPG revolves around scouting, training and synthesising monsters to build a stronger team of companions.
The Duskbloods
FromSoftware’s multiplayer action game The Duskbloods returned with a new trailer and confirmation that a closed network test will take place this summer. Nintendo has not announced an exact release date, but the game remains scheduled to launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
Splatoon Raiders
Nintendo shared a new look at Splatoon Raiders, the single-player spin-off set in the Spirhalite Islands. Players will explore the islands, battle groups of enemies and hunt for treasure. The game launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23, with a dedicated Splatoon Raiders Direct scheduled for June 30.
DELTARUNE Chapter 5
DELTARUNE Chapter 5 launches on June 24 as a free update for existing owners of DELTARUNE on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The latest chapter continues the parallel story from Undertale creator Toby Fox, with additional characters, battles and areas to explore.
Metaphor: ReFantazio
Atlus is bringing Metaphor: ReFantazio to Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12. The fantasy RPG originally launched on other platforms and will now be available to play on Nintendo’s latest system.
Minecraft for Nintendo Switch 2
A dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version of Minecraft is on the way later this year. The updated release will feature improved visuals, including enhanced lighting and shadow effects, while allowing existing Nintendo Switch worlds to carry over.
Kingdom Hearts Collection [I–III]
Square Enix is bringing the main Kingdom Hearts saga to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 8.
The release includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. The games will be available as individual releases and as part of the complete Kingdom Hearts Collection [I–III] package. A free demo for Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind is available now.
Kingdom Hearts IV
Kingdom Hearts IV made a surprise appearance during the Direct with a new gameplay trailer. Square Enix has not announced a release date, but the latest mainline entry in the series is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2
Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 will launch for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on August 27. The collection includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and the HD Collection version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
Tales of Eternia Remastered
Bandai Namco announced Tales of Eternia Remastered, bringing the classic RPG back with an updated release. The game launches on October 16.
Final Fantasy XIV Online
Square Enix is bringing Final Fantasy XIV Online to Nintendo Switch 2. Early access is planned for August, expanding the long-running MMORPG to another console platform.
Observer: System Redux
Cyberpunk horror game Observer: System Redux is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on June 18. Players take on the role of a detective able to enter the minds of suspects while investigating a case in a decaying futuristic city.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is now available on Nintendo Switch 2. The package includes the main adventure and its additional content.
SnowRunner
Off-road simulation game SnowRunner is also available now for Nintendo Switch 2. The game tasks players with completing deliveries across difficult terrain using a selection of heavy vehicles.
DayZ Cool Edition
DayZ Cool Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The survival game places players in a hostile open world where resources are limited and encounters with other survivors can quickly become dangerous.
Everbloom
Everbloom is planned for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. The cosy adventure appeared briefly during the Direct as part of Nintendo’s broader line-up of upcoming third-party releases.
Fitness Boxing 3: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Fitness Boxing 3 is receiving a Nintendo Switch 2 edition on July 16. The updated release brings the exercise-focused rhythm game to Nintendo’s latest hardware.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
Saber Interactive’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 during the holiday season. The action game places players in large-scale battles against waves of Tyranids, making the Switch 2 version one of the more technically ambitious ports announced during the Direct.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Nintendo closed the show with the announcement fans had been waiting for: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is being remade for Nintendo Switch 2.
The brief teaser showed Link asleep inside his home in Kokiri Forest, revisiting the opening moments of the original Nintendo 64 classic. Nintendo has not shared further gameplay details, but the remake is scheduled to launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
