Sony will run two PlayStation broadcasts back-to-back on September 3, with a regular State of Play followed immediately by State of Play Japan. The first show will end with an extended look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation, according to the official PlayStation announcement.
The broadcasts begin at 6:00am PT / 9:00am ET / 3:00pm CEST / 10:00pm JST. That works out to 5:00pm UAE time on September 3. Both shows will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch.
State of Play September 3: what to expect
The State of Play September 3 broadcast will feature updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners. Sony has confirmed that Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Revelation will receive an extended segment at the end of the show, making it the only specific game named in the announcement.
Sony has not listed the other games that will appear. Push Square notes that the announcement leaves room for PlayStation Studios reveals, but speculation about unconfirmed games remains just that.
The event follows an earlier State of Play story about Phantom Blade Zero and comes after our roundup of the games shown during June’s PlayStation event.
State of Play Japan follows immediately
State of Play Japan will begin after the main broadcast, with Yuki Kaji returning as host. The Japanese-language show will focus on upcoming games from studios in Japan and Asia, with new gameplay, announcements and other updates.
