Jin Sakai is joining Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted as the fourth playable character when the combat survival mode launches on 1 October alongside the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion. Sucker Punch confirmed the return in a PlayStation Blog announcement, following the State of Play reveal reported by VGC.

Most Wanted is a single-player combat survival mode built around escalating runs. Players choose bounties from a board, fight waves of enemies and minibosses, then pick perks to shape each build before facing the selected bounty’s final target. Bounties can be replayed at higher difficulty levels, with the hardest run ending in a fight against Lord Saito.
Jin joins Atsu, Oyuki and Nagato in the playable roster. He uses his katana with all four stances from Ghost of Tsushima, alongside a Sticky Bomb and hankyu. His Ultimate is Dance of Wrath, while Ghost Stance returns as his Kill Streak ability, allowing him to frighten nearby enemies and take out a limited number of them in one hit.
Echoes of Sekigahara launches with the mode
The single-player expansion follows Atsu across two periods: her time in the Battle of Sekigahara and the present-day search for an ally taken by the Vipers. It adds a new area called Ashoro Foothills, new enemy types, heavy weapons, mythic tales, abilities, armour sets and cosmetics.
Both Most Wanted and Echoes of Sekigahara arrive on 1 October. Players who already own Ghost of Yōtei can pre-order the Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99. The UAE PlayStation page lists the Complete Edition at $69.99; Sony has not published an AED price on that page.
The Complete Edition includes the base game, the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, Ghost of Yōtei Legends, the two October additions and Digital Deluxe Edition content. Existing owners will also receive a free update with Beauty of Yōtei photo mode, new Watanabe Mode tracks, an option to keep one armour set’s appearance while using another’s stats, and a new high-contrast accessibility setting.
