Enterprise AI platforms move beyond model access
GlobalData’s 21 September 2026 release says cloud AI platforms are expanding beyond model development and deployment. The report assesses tools for large language models, predictive machine learning, data management, AI agents and responsible-AI controls.
Rena Bhattacharyya, chief analyst and practice lead for enterprise technology and services at GlobalData, said the platforms are adding audit trails and tools to track agents built on other platforms.

They are increasingly offering features that help organizations govern agentic AI and deploy responsible and ethical AI, such as the ability to create audit trails and track AI agents built on other platforms.”

The report also identifies sovereignty concerns as a priority for enterprises that want more control over critical operations. Guardrails that can disable agents and better visibility into their behaviour are part of that demand.
Google and Amazon lead on tools and models
GlobalData says Google and Amazon provide model development and management tools, access to large and specialised language models, and connected data-storage services. The release also says providers are adding token-usage controls that let customers set limits by person, department or project.
Alfie Amir, senior principal analyst at GlobalData, described the shift as a move from “token maxxing” towards “value maxxing”, with companies focusing on whether an AI project delivers its intended result rather than how much AI it consumes.
GlobalData’s cloud-based enterprise AI platforms report covers vendor capabilities across generative AI, agentic AI, governance, model management and deployment options. GlobalData says its platform is used by more than 5,000 organisations.
The assessment is relevant to UAE companies weighing cloud suppliers for internal automation and customer-facing tools. Local buyers still need to check data-residency, procurement and sector rules separately; a high ranking is not a substitute for that paperwork.
