Google Pixel 11 leaks: the 128GB tier is dead, and the price is going up

Google's Pixel 11 starts at 256GB and costs more than the Pixel 10 it replaces. Tensor G6, brighter displays and an Aug 12 reveal — here's the UAE read.

Google’s Pixel 11 will start at 256GB of storage, and it will cost more than the phone it replaces. The final leak cycle before Wednesday’s Made by Google event points to a 2nm Tensor G6 chip, brighter displays and an entry price that quietly moves up.

The base Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro drop the 128GB option entirely and start at 256GB, per 9to5Google via Engadget. The catch: those base models are rumoured to cost the same as the equivalent storage options on the Pixel 10, which means the floor price rises. The Pro XL and Pro Fold skip the subtlety and take straight €100 hikes — roughly AED 400.

Tensor G6 chip render with a glowing Google G logo

Under the hood, the Tensor G6 is expected on TSMC’s 2nm process, with a seven-core layout anchored by an ARM C1-Ultra core at 4.11GHz. Displays reportedly reach 3,100 nits on the base model and 3,600 nits on the Pro pair. Google is also rumoured to add an RGB LED array on the camera bar — Pixel Glow — for notifications and Gemini feedback.

Made by Google lands August 12 with Trevor Noah hosting. The phones are expected to go on sale August 20.

What it means if you’re shopping in the UAE

Google still doesn’t sell Pixels officially in the UAE, so the price hike lands on the grey-import market. The Pixel 10’s 128GB base currently sits around AED 2,489 on Amazon.ae, and the Pro XL 256GB is AED 4,099. A 256GB-only Pixel 11 at the rumoured US price of $899 converts to roughly AED 3,301 before import margins — expect the base model to land in the AED 3,300–3,500 range once regional sellers list it.

Pixel Watch 5 leaked press render in dark anthracite

The Pixel Watch 5 is expected alongside, at $399 for the 41mm and $429 for the 45mm, with cellular versions $100 more. The Pixel 10a showed what $499 buys when the flagship chip is skipped; the Pixel 11 is the argument for paying more.
