Google Pixel 11 event confirmed: Made by Google lands August 12

Google's Pixel 11 event lands 12 August — Pixel 11, Pro, Pro XL and Pro Fold expected with Tensor G6. Here's what to expect and whether the UAE gets an official launch.

Google has confirmed its next Made by Google hardware event for Wednesday 12 August, where the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are expected to be unveiled — with pre-orders opening the same day.

The keynote streams live from New York at 3pm PT / 6pm ET, which is 2am Dubai time on Thursday 13 August. The show lands a week earlier than last year’s, and Google’s invite teases “the next generation of Pixel” with a gold metal frame. Its store page is less cryptic: “The next generation. Google Pixel 11. August 12.”

What to expect

The four phones are tipped to share Google’s new Tensor G6 chip, reportedly built on TSMC’s 2nm process, alongside the Titan M3 security chip. Storage is expected to start at 256GB with the 128GB option dropped, and leaked US prices put the range at $899 for the base Pixel 11, $1,099 for the Pro, $1,299 for the Pro XL and $1,899 for the Pro Fold. Those figures are unofficial — as is the price bump itself, which the industry’s RAMageddon memes have been predicting since the memory shortage stopped being a rumour.

Also expected: a Pixel Glow light strip in the camera bar that pulses with notifications and Gemini activity, new finishes (Midnight, Fuchsia and Moss on the base model), and a Pixel Watch 5 running Wear OS 7.

What it means if you’re shopping in the UAE

The date answers one question and leaves the familiar one open. Google has never officially released Pixel phones in the UAE — so local buyers will likely be looking at imported international models through third-party retailers, with limited warranty support and regional feature restrictions, per Khaleej Times.

We asked the same question about the Pixel 10 when the official tease landed. The Pro XL’s design has already leaked, and the Pixel 10a’s UAE pricing showed how the import premium tends to work out.

The event itself is free to watch — Android Central has the full how-to-watch guide, and Google will stream it on its site and YouTube.

When is the Made by Google event?

Wednesday 12 August at 3pm PT / 6pm ET — 2am Dubai time on Thursday 13 August. Pre-orders open the same day.

What phones will Google announce?

The Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, plus a Pixel Watch 5, all expected to run the Tensor G6 chip.

Will the Pixel 11 launch in the UAE?

Google has not announced an official UAE release. The UAE is not a supported Google Store hardware market, so imported models via third-party retailers remain the likely route, as with previous Pixels.
