A20 Pro Geekbench results point to a sizeable CPU jump
The iPhone 18 Pro result scores 4,719 in single-core and 12,677 in multi-core testing. The iPhone 18 Pro Max reaches 4,725 and 12,575 respectively. Both entries identify a six-core CPU running at approximately 4.93GHz.
Compared with early A19 Pro results from the iPhone 17 Pro, the listings indicate a 21% to 23% single-core improvement and a 27% to 28% multi-core improvement. That is a larger gain than Apple’s headline CPU estimate, although benchmark results from unreleased or newly released hardware can vary with software and thermal conditions.
The A20 Pro also appears to be ahead on graphics. Early Geekbench Metal results put its seven-core GPU at around 38% to 40% faster than the six-core GPU in the A19 Pro. Notebookcheck’s separate test recorded 64,069 points for the A20 Pro GPU, compared with 45,683 for the A19 Pro.

The extra CPU performance should help with demanding games, video work and on-device AI features, while the GPU uplift is more directly relevant to high-resolution games and graphics-heavy apps. Apple also says the new chip packaging and redesigned vapour chamber improve sustained performance by up to 40%.
