Dubai Police has deployed 36 robotic process automation (RPA) robots across policing and administrative operations and completed 104 strategic and operational technology projects over the past year, Gulf News reported on Sunday.
The figures were reviewed by Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, during his annual inspection of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence. These are software bots that handle digital and admin workflows, not physical machines on patrol.
What the RPA robots do
Dubai Police said the 36 RPA robots are used for a range of tasks and administrative operations. The force credits the deployment with faster procedures, higher productivity and less routine workload for staff.

Public digital services recorded 99.97 per cent continuity during the current year, with technology systems at 99.92 per cent, according to both Gulf News and ARN.
Dubai Police AI platform and Smart Police Stations
Al Marri was briefed on the force’s AI transformation plan, which aims to expand artificial intelligence across police, administrative and operational functions and turn data into tools that support decision-making, response times and service quality.
He also reviewed the Dubai Police AI platform, which supports data analysis, procedure automation, smart solutions and digital tools for employees and customers.
Another project covered was a smart assistant for Smart Police Stations (SPS), designed to deliver police and security services through an integrated system that runs around the clock. ARN noted that SPS sites let people complete services without visiting a traditional station.
Awards and next steps
The General Department of Artificial Intelligence reported seven awards and certificates of recognition, and 29 registered intellectual works, Gulf News said.
Al Marri stressed continued development of Dubai Police’s AI capabilities, the need for specialised staff alongside technology, and ongoing focus on readiness, business continuity and reliable systems. He thanked department employees for their work on digital transformation.
The Dubai push sits alongside wider UAE government AI programmes such as Digital Dubai’s AI+ training for government staff.
