Ring has brought battery-powered 4K video to the UAE. The Battery Video Doorbell Pro (2nd Gen) goes on sale today at AED 999, and the company is also launching three 2K doorbells, a solar charger and an updated Spotlight Cam. According to Ring’s press release, the range starts at AED 249 and is available now.
The global line-up isn’t new. Engadget reported the same doorbells in March, when Ring announced them as a spec bump for people who can’t wire a doorbell to mains power. That makes this a regional arrival, and it follows Ring’s May launch of wired 4K and 2K doorbells in the UAE, which left battery models out.
What each model offers
The Pro is the headline. Ring calls it its most advanced battery-powered doorbell, with Retinal 4K video and up to 10x Enhanced Zoom. It also has a redesigned internal architecture and what the company describes as its fastest-charging battery yet, which Ring says keeps the doorbell running at high resolution without any rewiring. The release gives no battery life or charging time figures.
The three 2K doorbells cover different budgets and installation types. The Plus adds a Quick Release Battery Pack for faster recharging, while the standard Battery Video Doorbell offers up to 6x Enhanced Zoom in a rechargeable design. The Wired Video Doorbell is for homes that already have doorbell wiring, and it’s the cheapest of the lot.

Solar charging and the Spotlight Cam
For people tired of recharging, Ring Solar Charger works with the Pro, Plus and standard battery doorbells. It’s built into the mounting design, so the doorbell mounts on top of the charger. The release gives no UAE price for it.
Spotlight Cam (2nd Gen) records 2K video and has a 550-lumen spotlight for night visibility and deterrence. Its dual-chamber battery design allows more flexible power management, and it works with the Quick Release Ultra Battery Pack, which is sold separately. The camera comes in battery and plug-in versions at the same price.

Ring Pro adds the smarts
Every device includes a free trial of Ring Pro, Ring’s subscription, which is where much of the AI sits. Ring says it adds Video Descriptions that summarise motion events in plain language, and Video Search that takes everyday phrases such as “black dog playing”. Single Event Alert merges repeated motion alerts from one event into a single notification, and Familiar Faces flags when a recognised friend or family member arrives on 2K, 4K and select HD devices. Subscribers also get up to 180 days of video history and longer Extended Live View sessions. The release doesn’t state the trial length or the UAE subscription price.
Is the Ring Battery Video Doorbell Pro (2nd Gen) available in the UAE?
Yes. Ring says it’s on sale from today at AED 999. The press release doesn’t name retailers, so check the product listing for stock before you visit a store.
Which new Ring doorbell is cheapest in the UAE?
The Wired Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) costs AED 249 and records Retinal 2K video. It needs existing doorbell wiring, so the cheapest battery option is the Battery Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) at AED 399.
Do the new Ring doorbells need a subscription?
Each device includes a free trial of Ring Pro. Ring says the subscription unlocks video recording, video search, descriptions and 180 days of history. The release doesn’t give the trial length or the subscription price in the UAE.
