Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 has a new trailer, and Dexter Morgan is caught between two rival killers and a midlife crisis. IGN calls it the first proper trailer after September’s premiere-date teaser; this cut puts more of the season’s story on screen.

The trailer introduces the two killers now drawing attention in New York: Brian Cox’s New York Ripper and Dan Stevens’ Five Borough Killer. IGN says Dexter’s work goes largely unnoticed because he removes the evidence, while the newer killers have become public obsessions. The footage also plays up his age, including a visit to the optometrist.
IGN reports that Harrison has joined the NYPD, putting Dexter’s son closer to the crimes his father is trying to hide. A new official Paramount+ Season 2 guide confirms the returning cast, including Uma Thurman, Desmond Harrington and Krysten Ritter.
Quinn, Charley and a question about Mia
Desmond Harrington’s Joey Quinn is back in New York after the death of his friend Angel Batista. Our earlier report on Batista’s return covers the show’s habit of bringing familiar faces back after death. Uma Thurman’s Charley also appears, while Krysten Ritter’s Mia is shown despite dying last season. IGN says it is unclear whether Mia is alive or appears as one of Dexter’s hallucinations; the trailer does not settle it. The outlet also reports that episodes will arrive weekly for 10 weeks after the October 30 premiere.
