Crusoe is reportedly raising $3 billion at a $30 billion valuation, with Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Capital among the participants. The funding would give the AI infrastructure developer another large cash injection less than a year after its previous major round.
TechCrunch, citing Bloomberg, reports that Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners are co-leading the round. Mubadala Capital, the asset management arm of Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Investment Company, is also taking part. The round has not been announced by Crusoe, so its final size and terms remain unconfirmed.

Why Crusoe funding is attracting attention
The reported Crusoe funding follows a five-year cloud contract worth roughly $13 billion with Jane Street, according to Bloomberg’s report on the deal. The agreement covers GPUs and AI infrastructure for the quantitative trading firm, giving Crusoe a substantial customer commitment alongside the new capital.
Crusoe counts Meta, Microsoft and OpenAI among its customers. It began in 2018 as a crypto-mining operation using flared natural gas, then shifted towards data-centre development and cloud services for AI workloads.
The reported round would follow Crusoe’s $1.375 billion Series E, which the company announced in October 2025 at a valuation above $10 billion. Crusoe’s own announcement described a business spanning energy sourcing, data-centre construction and Crusoe Cloud.
What Mubadala Capital’s participation means
Mubadala Capital’s involvement places Abu Dhabi sovereign-linked capital in another large AI infrastructure deal. The firm previously co-led Crusoe’s Series E, according to the company’s announcement, so this is a continuation of an existing investment relationship rather than a first appearance.
Crusoe has also reportedly met investment banks about a possible initial public offering, according to Axios. There is no confirmed IPO timetable, and the funding report does not establish that Crusoe has formally begun the listing process.
Crusoe’s expansion fits the wider capital demands of AI data centres. Oracle’s $16 billion AI infrastructure commitment and Nvidia’s rising data-centre revenue show how quickly the cost of supplying compute has become part of the story.
