Clicks has upgraded the Clicks Communicator to 12GB of RAM, Android 17 and a 4,350mAh battery ahead of its December launch. The keyboard-equipped Android phone remains available at its USD 499 launch price until September 30, before moving to USD 649.
The upgrade is larger than the usual launch-day colour shuffle. Clicks originally announced 8GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery; the final configuration adds more memory and capacity without raising the launch price for existing reservations. The phone also includes 256GB of storage, microSD expansion up to 2TB, a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 24-megapixel selfie camera and a 3.5mm headphone jack, according to the company announcement republished by Montreal Gazette.
Clicks Communicator ships in December with a physical keyboard
The Clicks Communicator is built around a physical QWERTY keyboard below a 4.03-inch AMOLED display. It uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 platform, supports 120Hz refresh rates, and will receive software updates through Android 20 alongside five years of security updates. Wireless charging reaches 15W through Qi2, while the phone also supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and Google Pay.
Clicks says the phone is intended for messaging, calls and focused communication rather than endless scrolling. That pitch is backed by the hardware: a notification light, a dedicated Clicks Key, a headphone jack and a removable back cover sit alongside the usual smartphone features. The company says nearly half of its customers plan to use the Communicator as a secondary phone.
Clicks Mobile starts with US and UK coverage
Clicks Mobile will provide voice and data through eSIM, but the initial service is limited to the US and UK, using AT&T and Vodafone respectively. The phone itself supports a physical nano-SIM and eSIM, so buyers elsewhere can use a compatible carrier, although Clicks has not announced UAE availability or local network support.
Reservation holders can configure the phone, keyboard layout, colour and accessories from September 18. The official Clicks Communicator page lists the device and its reservation programme, while 9to5Google reports that shipping is scheduled for December.
For UAE buyers, the USD pricing and US/UK-only mobile plan mean there is no confirmed local purchase route yet. Clicks has more than 200,000 customers across over 100 countries, but that broader footprint does not confirm a UAE launch for this phone.
