Grok and Cursor users can now buy AI tools and X Premium benefits through one subscription, with paid individual plans starting at USD 8 a month. SpaceXSI’s announcement introduces The X Subscription for new customers and promises a global rollout over the next few days. Existing subscribers can switch through their billing settings.

The bundle spans Grok, the Grok Bot assistant, Cursor’s coding agents, and X, but the cheapest paid tier doesn’t include everything. More importantly for developers, Grok and Cursor share a usage allowance rather than separate pots, and third-party models cost extra.

Four paid tiers, one shared allowance

Plus costs USD 8 a month and adds more Grok and Cursor usage, an X checkmark, creator tools, and fewer ads. Premium costs USD 30 a month and includes Grok Bot. The announcement describes Premium as combining the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+, which it says previously cost USD 90 a month together. That’s the company’s comparison, not a guarantee of savings for every subscriber.

Super costs USD 100 a month, while Ultra costs USD 200. The official announcement lists Premium at four times Plus’s included usage, Super at 15 times, and Ultra at 50 times. Engadget’s report instead describes Ultra as offering 20 times Plus’s capacity; the official announcement and pricing documentation both give 50 times.

The bundle joins other attempts to combine AI access with an existing subscription, including Microsoft 365 Family’s shared AI benefits. The practical distinction is that coding and chatbot activity share the same allowance.

According to the official pricing documentation, that pool covers Grok Bot and Grok models used across Grok and Cursor. Bot usage doesn’t add a separate allowance. Third-party models in Cursor are available on Premium and above, but aren’t included in the shared pool: they use paid Additional Usage credits from the first use, billed at API list prices through top-ups.

The company claims at least twice as much coding usage with its models as comparable Cursor plans. That comparison applies to Grok models, not an unlimited allowance for every model available inside Cursor.

Switching isn’t compulsory

Existing Cursor, SuperGrok, and X Premium plans continue unless customers change or cancel them. Eligible subscribers who switch receive a prorated refund for unused time, paid back to their original payment method separately from the new subscription charge. The new plan starts immediately and is charged at full price; refunds can take a few days to appear.

An important exception applies to Cursor subscriptions bought through Apple’s App Store. Switching doesn’t cancel that subscription, and SpaceXSI can’t refund it. Customers must cancel through their iPhone or iPad Settings and request any refund from Apple.

Premium, Super, and Ultra also have team versions at the same per-seat price as the individual tier. Teams can mix tiers and get centralised billing, administration, and usage analytics. Plus isn’t a team option.

For UAE readers, the official pages promise a global rollout but don’t verify AED pricing or immediate local checkout access. Published USD list prices exclude sales tax, which may be added where required. As with Anthropic’s updated usage policy, subscription access still comes with conditions; the shared allowance and extra model charges are worth checking before switching.

Is there a free X Subscription plan?

Yes. Free includes daily Grok access, a starter allowance for Cursor’s coding agents, and standard X, rather than paid X Premium benefits.

How do subscribers activate the included X benefits?

Paid individual subscribers need to connect their X account. Team members can also connect an account to receive the X benefits included with their seat.
