An Arab-led studio has revealed the first gameplay for The Arab League of Misfits, a satirical 1v1 deckbuilder where arguments are settled with flying slippers and perfectly timed insults. The Steam page is live, and wishlisting is open now.

What is The Arab League of Misfits?
Le Cabinet du Savoir Ludique, a studio based in Perpignan, France, is building the game on Arab internet culture and historical satire, per the official announcement. Players command a deck of oddball characters through a roguelite campaign across nineteen Arab countries, uniting the region and taking down overpowered regional bosses called Za’eems. An online arena handles the player-versus-player side.
Combat runs on a simultaneous reveal system: both sides commit their cards, and the mind games do the rest. The full set is 140 cards across seven playstyles, or Usloobs, each with four tiers of passive abilities. The studio says there are over six trillion ways to construct the perfect argument.
A cultural glossary unlocks the slang, history and meme origins behind every card. The soundtrack comes from three composers: Lebanese electronic producer John El Osta, Palestinian oud player Clarissa Bitar, and Ramsey “MARSKYE” Kharroubi, whose credits include Thirsty Suitors and Boyfriend Dungeon.
When and where can I play The Arab League of Misfits?
There is no release date or price yet — the Steam page is wishlist-only. Gamescom attendees can try the game at the Creative Europe MEDIA stand in Hall 03.2 (booths D050g to F051g) on 26, 27 and 28 August.
The game joins a slowly growing shelf of Arabic-culture titles on Steam, alongside Sega’s push to get more Arabic games across MENA and the young developers the UAE’s game-building hackathons are producing. The Arab League of Misfits sits at the more irreverent end of that spectrum — a deckbuilder built on the region’s memes, arguing its way to a wishlist.
