MP1st says the more consistent information points to a visual upgrade of an older game, while a full reboot has also been discussed. Those are source claims rather than confirmed plans. The report also places Horizon 3 after the Killzone project, although that order could change while both games remain unannounced.
The possible external partner is People Can Fly. The Polish developer confirmed in a March 2025 report to investors that it had signed an agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment to develop a prototype codenamed Project Delta, based on Sony-owned intellectual property. The filing does not name Killzone, so the connection remains unconfirmed.
