Polyphony Digital is hiring across engineering, programming and art roles for Gran Turismo, adding to the evidence that the studio is preparing its next racing game. The project is widely presumed to be Gran Turismo 8, but Sony and Polyphony Digital have not announced that title.
The latest Insider Gaming report points to a broad recruitment drive at the PlayStation studio. The official Polyphony Digital careers page lists roles including online engineer, racing game programmer, graphics programmer, game AI programmer, vehicle simulation programmer, game engine programmer, UI designer and CG artist.

What the Gran Turismo 8 job listings reveal
The roles cover the systems that sit behind a full racing game rather than a small update. Polyphony is recruiting for online services, graphics, sound, artificial intelligence, vehicle simulation and the engine itself. The vehicle simulation listing says the programmer will improve the simulation engine and recreate mechanisms unique to individual cars.
That does not confirm Gran Turismo 8 by name. Polyphony has made several Gran Turismo projects outside the numbered series, including Gran Turismo Sport, the Concept titles and My First Gran Turismo. The studio could also be hiring for a project that supports Gran Turismo 7 or another series release.
The recruitment push follows an earlier report that Polyphony was hiring for a new Gran Turismo game. The older tbreak report on the game’s development covered the initial recruitment message; these newer listings provide more detail about the teams being built around the project.
No release date or PS6 confirmation
There is no release date, platform announcement or confirmed name for the next Gran Turismo. Gran Turismo 7 launched on PS4 and PS5 in March 2022, but that does not establish which PlayStation hardware the next game will target.
The job listings show that Polyphony is staffing up, not that the game is close to release. For now, Gran Turismo 8 remains a reasonable label for an unannounced project rather than an announced product.
