Pocketpair has released a substantial Palworld update with new missions, easier fishing and a set of combat and progression changes. The update is available now, with the trigger report from GamesRadar+ backed by the full notes collected by Dot Esports and additional fixes reported by Insider Gaming.

The Palworld update reorganises progression around a more connected story, adding story-driven sub-missions, new NPCs and collectible journals. Mission markers can also show several destinations at once, which should reduce the amount of wandering around the islands in search of the next objective.

What the Palworld update changes

Fishing has been made less awkward, with improved messaging when players try to fish without bait and additional rewards connected to World Tree fishing and the Large Fishing Pond. The wider update also adds or adjusts water-based construction and makes several crafting and resource systems less demanding.

Combat gets the more visible overhaul. Players can dash while aiming, attack during a dash, reload without interrupting a dodge and control rolls more precisely. Pal Active Skills have been rebalanced, while Tower Boss encounters receive new attack patterns and shorter five-minute battles. Wild Pal behaviour, Arena fights and manual attack commands have also been adjusted.

The release also adds 72 Pals, the floating Sunreach region and the Wing Pack, alongside new weapons, equipment, base-building options and multiplayer improvements. Players can now equip up to six weapons with the Extra Weapon Holster, while dedicated servers gain optional voice chat and expanded guild permissions.

The official Pocketpair update archive lists the studio’s wider Palworld releases. For readers catching up on the wider series, tbreak previously covered Palworld’s planned mobile MMO and the Nintendo lawsuit settlement.
