OPPO has launched the A7 Pro in China with an 8,000mAh battery, a 6.57-inch 120Hz OLED display and a starting price of CNY 2,199 for the 6GB/256GB model. The phone goes on sale in China on September 11, while OPPO has not announced UAE availability or pricing.

The battery supports 45W wired charging, and OPPO says it should retain at least 80% of its capacity after 2,000 full charge cycles. The official OPPO store lists the battery at 8,000mAh typical capacity and 7,820mAh rated capacity. The phone uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max chip, with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The flat OLED panel runs at up to 120Hz and reaches a claimed 1,400 nits peak brightness. Cameras include a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP front camera. The handset also carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, and runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

The OPPO A7 Pro price starts at CNY 2,199 for 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 8GB/256GB version costs CNY 2,499, according to the GSMArena report. Those are Chinese prices; there is no confirmed UAE equivalent yet.

What UAE buyers need to know

OPPO’s UAE website does not currently list the A7 Pro, so a local price and release date remain unconfirmed. The phone’s China launch gives UAE buyers a reference point for the hardware, but importing one would leave local warranty and network-support questions to be checked with the seller.

For comparison, OPPO’s A6 Pro 5G launched in the UAE at AED 1,099, while HONOR’s X8d offers a 7,000mAh battery in the UAE. The A7 Pro’s 8,000mAh cell is larger, although battery capacity alone does not establish real-world endurance.
