Holland knows the Miles Morales plan but is keeping it secret
Tom Holland says he knows when Miles Morales will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although he offered no date, project, or casting details.
During an interview with German outlet 1Live, Holland was asked which question he would put to Marvel as a Spider-Man fan. He replied: “I guess it would be, ‘When will we get Miles Morales?’ would be the question I would ask – because I know the answer.”
When the interviewer pushed for the answer, Holland smiled and said: “I’m asking the questions. I’m not answering them.” It is an impressively efficient Marvel tease: confirm that information exists, provide precisely none of it, and leave the internet to assemble a release calendar from facial expressions.
His wording suggests that some form of internal timeline has reached the current Spider-Man actor, but it does not establish where Miles will appear or whether Holland’s Peter Parker will be involved. It also adds context to Holland’s earlier comments about Miles Morales.
Miles remains associated on film with Sony’s animated Spider-Verse saga rather than the live-action MCU. Holland’s comments offer a stronger hint that this will eventually change, but Marvel Studios has not publicly announced a Miles Morales film, series, or casting.
Spider-Man 5 remains an ambition rather than a studio commitment
Spider-Man 5 has not been announced, even though Holland and Zendaya are open to returning after Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
In a Serieously video published shortly before the film’s 31 July premiere, Holland was asked directly whether he would return for a fifth Spider-Man movie. As our sister site IGN Middle East reports, he answered that “we would love to” before outlining how unsettled the situation remains.
“What is on the cards is a little unclear right now, but I’m sure that, whatever happens with Spider-Man, it’ll be very bright and lovely,” Holland said. Zendaya added: “It’ll be great no matter what. We’ll be sure of it.”
The pair’s enthusiasm is clear, but actor interest is different from a green light. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have announced no title, production schedule, release date, or story for Spider-Man 5. Holland’s answer leaves the door open without pretending someone has already built the next room.
The MCU calendar offers no answer on Spider-Man’s next film
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for 18 December 2026, while Spider-Man’s film future beyond Brand New Day has no official date.
Marvel’s official Avengers: Doomsday page confirms that release date, but there is no equivalent announcement for a fifth Holland-led Spider-Man movie. Any connection between Miles Morales’ MCU arrival, another solo Spider-Man film, and the wider Avengers storyline remains undisclosed.
For now, Holland has provided two useful boundaries: he knows something about Miles Morales, and he would like to play Spider-Man again. Everything between those points is still Marvel-shaped empty space — fertile territory for theories, but not an announced film slate.
