Apple’s first foldable iPhone, reportedly called the iPhone Ultra, will come in silver and dark blue — if leaked camera-protector accessories are anything to go by.

Leaker Sonny Dickson shared images of two third-party camera protectors made to fit the Ultra’s camera bump, one in each finish. Accessory makers draw from the same supply chain as the phone itself, which is why their leaks tend to be taken seriously. The protectors also give the clearest look yet at the rear design: a horizontal camera plateau with two lenses, a pill-shaped flash and a LiDAR scanner.
These iPhone Fold camera protectors give us a look at two of the colors planned for the device: silver and dark blue.
The foldable iPhone’s colour story so far
The leak lines up with months of supply-chain reporting. A May report citing a Macworld source described a silver model alongside an indigo option similar to the iPhone 17 Pro’s Deep Blue. June coverage called silver the first “confirmed” colour and suggested the darker option might not be black. Dickson’s protectors now land the darker finish at dark blue — in the photos, it reads very close to black.
The foldable is expected to be a book-style device with a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch inner panel, announced alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max next month. Dickson has form on Apple hardware: his early look at the iPhone 18 Pro’s colour options from May is holding up.
What it means if you’re shopping in the UAE
The Ultra is shaping up to be the most expensive iPhone yet, and UAE pricing will follow. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo estimates $2,300–2,500, roughly AED 8,440–9,175 — comfortably above the Galaxy Z Fold8 that Samsung put on sale here last month. For context, the current Pro Max flagship starts at AED 5,099.
Kuo also expects launch stock to be extremely limited: 0.5–1 million foldables in Q3 2026, against 20–22 million iPhone 18 Pro units in the same window. If the first UAE allocation follows that pattern, it will not hang around.
With two colours on the menu, there is no haggling over taste: if dark blue does not do it for you, silver is the entire selection.
