According to Apple’s results, fourth-quarter revenue rose 12% to a record $114.5bn. The iPhone set a September-quarter record at $57.6bn, and Services hit an all-time high of $31.6bn.

The quarter ended on 26 September, and Apple didn’t put the iPhone Duo on sale until October, so none of that money came from the Duo. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, on sale in UAE stores from 18 September, had barely a week in the quarter.

Mac revenue rose to $10.8bn from $8.7bn, enough to overtake Wearables, Home and Accessories as Apple’s third-biggest category. According to GSMArena, Macs also pulled ahead of that category for the full year. iPad and wearables went the other way.

Gross margin was 47.9%, but Apple says tariff refunds added about one percentage point. Diluted earnings per share rose 14% to $2.10, with $0.05 of that also from tariff refunds.

For the full fiscal year, Apple brought in a record $479bn. iPhone revenue reached $254.1bn (up from $209.6bn), and Services grew to $123.3bn from $109.2bn. In the quarter, Apple generated $28bn in operating cash flow, returned $28bn to shareholders, and declared a $0.27 dividend, payable on 16 November.

We’re closing the year with our most ambitious lineup yet. That includes the iPhone Duo, the most transformational iPhone since the original, alongside iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, our most powerful iPhones yet.

John Ternus, Apple CEO

Pre-orders for the Duo sold out on 16 October, and Apple Store shipping estimates for the AED 8,499 phone still point to late January. After the results, Ternus told Reuters that Duo supply is constrained: “at this point, we’re not able to predict when supply and demand will be in balance.” Apple is also replacing “a very small percentage” of Duos returned with display issues.

Back in the March quarter, Apple reported $111bn in revenue and a $100bn buyback. Since September ended, Apple launched the first touch-enabled MacBook, an OLED iPad mini, a smart home line led by the HomeView display, a new Apple TV 4K, and the Duo. You’ll find every UAE price in our guide, and the iPhone 18 Pro starts at AED 5,099.

The holiday quarter will be the first to include the Duo, the touch MacBook, and the new home devices. Apple’s release didn’t include a forecast for it.
