AMC Theatres has revealed its Dune: Part Three popcorn buckets, and the headline design has two sandworm mouths so two people can dig into the same tub. The second bucket keeps a single mouth but adds a thumper that moves up and down while you eat. It’s the follow-up to the Part Two bucket that went viral in 2024, and this time AMC has built the sequel’s novelty into the shape itself.

IGN counts a third collectible, shaped like the mobile containment tank of Guild Navigator Edric, who the outlet expects to play a bigger role in the new film. The AMC Theatres Instagram post carried the reveal. Other outlets split the lineup differently. Variety lists AMC’s Spacing Guild Navigator item as a cup, alongside a light-up Atreides-Fremen cup, mystery keychains and a sandworm plush.

AMC isn’t alone. As Gizmodo reports, nearly every major movie theatre chain has unveiled new renditions of the infamous “wormussy” popcorn buckets. Regal’s post on X shows a Spacing Guild Navigator popcorn bucket arriving this December, exclusively at Regal, while Cinemark has teased a Copper Sandworm bucket marked “coming soon”.

Availability and price

Both AMC buckets come with a large popcorn. According to The Hollywood Reporter, they’ll sell at AMC locations in the United States and at Odeon Cinemas throughout Europe. Attractions Magazine reports that AMC says its collectibles arrive on 17 December 2026, the day before the film opens. AMC hasn’t announced a price. The Hollywood Reporter says it will come closer to release, and specialty buckets typically cost $25 to $50. None of the announcements we’ve seen mention cinemas in the Gulf, so there’s no UAE, Saudi or Egyptian availability to report yet.

AMC’s Hank Green, SVP of Food & Beverage, told TheWrap that the Part Two bucket became a viral phenomenon and fans would expect more from the next one. The merchandise play is now routine for big releases, as with the Spider-Man: Brand New Day popcorn buckets at AMC, Regal and Cinemark.

The film

Dune: Part Three adapts Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah and picks up 17 years after the first two films. Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides, and Zendaya has an expanded role as Chani’s on-screen counterpart in the credits IGN lists as Chaya. IGN reports she will reportedly campaign for Best Actress at the Oscars. IGN adds that the final trailer hints at major departures from the book.

The film is scheduled for cinemas on 18 December 2026, with early IMAX preview screenings from 14 December. Abu Dhabi’s Liwa desert has been a filming location for the series, and Gulf News notes the teaser opens on those dunes.

When can you buy the Dune: Part Three popcorn bucket?

AMC says its collectibles arrive on 17 December, the night before the film opens. Regal’s bucket is listed for “this December” and Cinemark’s as “coming soon”, with no exact dates.

Can you get the Dune 3 buckets in the UAE?

Not as far as announced. AMC’s buckets are listed for US AMC locations and Odeon cinemas in Europe, and Regal and Cinemark operate in the US. We’ll update if a UAE cinema chain confirms its own Dune merchandise.

How much will the AMC Dune 3 bucket cost?

AMC hasn’t said. Comic Basics reports the Part Two bucket sold for $24.99 with popcorn included, and resellers later listed it for far more.
