ASUS has confirmed that the ExpertBook A7 (14″ Intel) will go on sale in the UAE from November 2026. It’s a business laptop built around a CNC-milled aluminium unibody that’s about 1cm thin and starts at 1.2kg, which ASUS says are internal measurements that vary by configuration.
Slim, metal and OLED
The chassis is cut from a single block of 6000-series aluminium alloy, and ASUS says the seams are as tight as 0.05mm. The company argues that fewer visible gaps and weak points allow a slimmer body without losing strength. It comes in Lunar Silver and Eclipse Black.
The screen is a 14-inch 3K OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 90% screen-to-body ratio, with an optional anti-glare finish. Underneath sits up to an Intel Core 7 processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD, cooled by ASUS’s ExpertCool system and paired with Wi-Fi 6E. ASUS also bundles its MyExpert AI tools, which cover document search, summaries, translation, writing help and meeting transcription.
Portability is the pitch here. ASUS quotes up to 26 hours of battery life and says fast charging restores up to 50% in 30 minutes. Notebookcheck reports a 65Wh battery on the US models, which went on sale there this week as the first laptop in a new A-series business range.
The ports are two full-function USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connections for data, charging and display output, plus USB Type-A and HDMI. A glass-surface haptic touchpad promises up to 3X the precision of standard touchpads, and the hinge opens one-handed.
Security and the regional pitch
Security is where the A7 leans on its business credentials. ASUS lists NIST SP 800-193-compliant BIOS protection and Windows 11 Secured-core PC support, plus a discrete TPM 2.0 chip, fingerprint sign-in with FIDO2 authentication and a Kensington Nano Security Slot. It also promises five years of BIOS and driver security updates, and the laptop meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards.
Tolga Özdil, Regional Commercial Director for Middle East, Turkey & Africa at ASUS, framed the launch around hybrid work in the region. He said professionals need a device that moves between office and home.
The A7 sits alongside ASUS’s other regional business launches. If you’re weighing the range, the ExpertBook Ultra is the lighter, AI-focused option at 0.99kg, while the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 covers the 360-degree convertible route. We’d wait for the UAE price and configurations before choosing between them.
