The Mac Observer notes that the page’s wording refers to iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro models “and later”, pointing towards the same 14GB tier for newer models, but Apple has not stated that directly.
What the iOS 27 requirement means for iPhone buyers
The storage is used by the downloaded on-device models, so it is not the same as a permanent 14GB reduction shown as a single app. The amount can still be meaningful on a lower-capacity phone, particularly after iOS has taken its own space and a user has a large photo library.
iOS 27’s Siri AI features and supported iPhones already vary by device, language and region. Apple says the device language and Siri language must match, and some features are not available in every language or region. That includes the UAE, where buyers should check the feature list rather than assume every Apple Intelligence function is available in English or Arabic.
