The limited-edition ROG XBOX Ally X20 bundle has moved from pre-order to general sale in the UAE. ASUS Republic of Gamers says the 20th anniversary package costs AED 10,999 through the ASUS UAE eShop and participating retailers. Those include Geekay, Virgin Megastore, Sharaf DG, Amazon UAE, Emax, Jumbo and Carrefour, though ASUS says stock and availability may vary by retailer.
That arrival matches the mid-October window ASUS gave when pre-orders opened in September. The price hasn’t changed, and the contents are the same: the handheld, ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 gaming AR glasses, a custom dbrand Killswitch, a Pelican Protector Case and a 68W adapter. It’s a pricey set because the glasses are in the box. ASUS also sells the OLED Ally X20 as a standalone unit elsewhere, but this anniversary edition includes AR hardware.
What’s in the box
The handheld has a translucent black chassis with gold-accented internals and a 20th anniversary badge. Inside is an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor with 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory and a 1TB SSD, running Windows 11 Home. The 7.4-inch Full HD OLED panel refreshes at 120Hz and reaches up to 1,400 nits peak HDR brightness. ASUS also lists an 80Wh battery, a 756g weight, TMR joysticks built to resist drift and a transforming D-pad.
The ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 glasses connect to the handheld via a single USB-C cable. They use Sony micro-OLED panels at 1080p per eye and project a virtual screen up to 171 inches (4 metres). Refresh rates reach 240Hz with Frame Rate Boost on, and Bose tunes the speakers.
Two modes control how the image behaves: Follow Mode keeps the screen in your field of view as you move your head, while Anchor Mode pins it in place. The glasses also tint across three electrochromic dimming levels, and their settings are available from the handheld’s Command Center.
The dbrand Killswitch adds a kickstand, ROG-branded joystick grips and a circuit-pattern skin inspired by the handheld’s internals. The Pelican case has ROG-red latches and an anniversary badge, and holds the handheld and its accessories for travel.
ASUS is also inviting UAE buyers to join the ROG Elite Program, which offers activities, points and rewards. If you’re after the full set, we recommend checking your preferred retailer’s listing before you head out, since the release doesn’t give stock figures for any single store.
