AMD’s next-generation RDNA 5 graphics cards may not be revealed before Computex 2027. VideoCardz reports that hardware leaker Kepler_L2 expects an announcement later in 2027, rather than at CES or in the opening months of the year.
For gamers planning a PC upgrade, the key distinction is that this claim concerns a reveal, not cards hitting shelves. AMD has not confirmed an RDNA 5 announcement date, retail launch window, or product lineup. There is no confirmed UAE release date or local pricing to plan around either.
A later reveal, not a confirmed delay
In VideoCardz’s account of an AnandTech forum discussion, Kepler_L2 rejected the suggestion that AMD might reveal RDNA 5 within the next three to five months. A follow-up question about June 2027 prompted the later timeframe.
The report contrasts that response with the same leaker’s December expectation of an arrival around mid-2027. However, Kepler_L2 did not explain whether AMD’s schedule had changed. Calling this a confirmed delay would imply an official deadline that AMD has not provided.
Another limit of the claim is that it does not identify which graphics cards would appear first. VideoCardz also recounts an earlier rumour that only the AT2 chip would arrive in 2027, with other chips following in 2028. Those remain unconfirmed product plans, not an announced Radeon range.
Earlier reports also suggested a broad window
In June, Tom’s Hardware reported that graphics-card manufacturers, when questioned by Dutch publication Tweakers at Computex 2026, offered different expectations. One anticipated next-generation AMD cards in the second or third quarter of 2027; another considered early 2028 possible.

That older reporting provides context, not confirmation, of Kepler_L2’s latest claim. The manufacturers discussed when hardware might arrive, while the new rumour concerns when AMD might announce it. Neither account establishes a final retail schedule.
The gap between a reveal and availability isn’t just a wording issue. Tom’s Hardware points to RDNA 4’s first appearance at CES 2025, followed by the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT shipping in March. An announcement alone does not settle when a buyer can actually purchase a card.
For UAE PC builders, this leaves no firm RDNA 5 date to time an upgrade against. The rumour does not establish performance, pricing, or regional stock, so it cannot yet support a comparison with cards available today.
AMD’s nearer-term graphics developments are a separate story, including its confirmed FSR 4 plans for handhelds and APUs. Likewise, the recent Steam Deck 2 graphics leak concerns a different device. Neither should be treated as an announcement of a desktop RDNA 5 launch.
Is AMD RDNA 5 confirmed for Computex 2027?
No. The latest report suggests AMD may reveal it later than the show, but it hasn’t announced a date. Don’t treat Computex 2027 as a confirmed launch event for these cards.
Does the rumour mean RDNA 5 cards will reach UAE shops in 2027?
No. An announcement window is not a retail release commitment. UAE availability would require separate confirmation, even if AMD reveals the generation during 2027.
