GTA 6 could reach PC between January and March 2027, only a few months after its planned console launch. GamesBeat reports that Rockstar targets the first quarter of next year, citing four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans. Rockstar hasn’t announced that window or responded to the outlet’s request for comment.

If the reported schedule holds, PC players would face a much shorter wait than they did for GTA 5. The important distinction is that this is a report about Rockstar’s plans, not a confirmed release date. It doesn’t establish a specific launch day, PC storefront, price, or hardware requirements.

Rockstar’s June pre-order announcement, published by Take-Two, lists 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It doesn’t announce a PC edition. GamesBeat also gives that November 2026 date near the start of its report, but a later paragraph says November 2027. That internal discrepancy remains; the official announcement gives 2026.

A shorter wait than GTA 5

GamesBeat places GTA 5‘s original console release in September 2013 and its PC debut in April 2015, a gap of roughly 19 months. A January-March 2027 launch for GTA 6 would reduce that wait to roughly two to four months after the currently announced console date.

The comparison explains why this report changes expectations. Rockstar’s previous staggered release doesn’t establish a timetable for the next game, but it has given PC players reason to anticipate a longer gap. The new report points to a different plan, without making that plan a guarantee.

IGN’s coverage attributes the window to GamesBeat’s four anonymous sources. It isn’t separate confirmation from Rockstar or a second set of sources. IGN also reports that neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has commented on the claim.

The specificity stops at a calendar quarter. There is no basis in this report for treating February as the launch month, assuming PC arrives alongside consoles, or attaching an exact date to the port. Players considering whether to buy a console or wait now have a reported window to weigh, rather than a date they can plan around with certainty.

This is separate from the recent threat to leak a playable GTA 6 build. A claim about a leaked build doesn’t establish when Rockstar will sell or support a PC version.

Online plans aren’t a launch announcement

GamesBeat also connects a quicker PC release to the potential for online roleplaying and player-created content. Its report points to Rockstar’s 2023 acquisition of Cfx.re, the team behind the PC-based FiveM modification framework for GTA 5.

That provides context for why PC could be important to the game’s longer-term audience. It doesn’t confirm that GTA 6 will ship with FiveM-style servers, announce its creation tools, or establish that its PC release and multiplayer launch will happen together.

Both GamesBeat and IGN refer to Twitch chief executive Dan Clancy’s statement that GTA 6‘s online component would arrive next year. That remains a statement from an executive outside Rockstar, not the developer’s multiplayer schedule. IGN notes that Rockstar hasn’t confirmed an online mode, and GamesBeat says the studio hasn’t announced an official online launch date.

The name “GTA Online 2” is also unofficial. Treating it as an announced product would put more certainty into the story than the available reporting supports. As with the recent YouTube advert that prompted GTA 6 trailer speculation, an indication of activity isn’t a dated announcement.

Has Rockstar confirmed GTA 6 for PC in Q1 2027?

No. GamesBeat reports that window based on four anonymous industry sources. The official pre-order announcement reviewed for this article names PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but doesn’t announce PC.

Can UAE players use the console price as the PC price?

No. There is no verified UAE PC price or PC pre-order listing in the sources reviewed. Console editions and their prices don’t establish what a future PC edition would cost.

Are PC requirements or Steam availability confirmed?

The report doesn’t provide system requirements or confirm Steam availability. It therefore offers no verified specification target for a PC upgrade or storefront-specific pre-order information.
