A new YouTube banner for GTA 6 has fans betting that Rockstar’s third trailer is close, but nothing in the ad confirms it. Rockstar hasn’t announced a trailer, and the promotion appears to be YouTube’s own.
The ad reads “There’s more to GTA VI on YouTube.” It was shared on X by ben/videotech and uses a modified version of existing artwork, in which Lucia no longer holds a gun, according to Notebookcheck.
What the ad does and doesn’t show
The Leonida Daily checked Meta’s Ad Library and found YouTube listed as the advertiser. The outlet reports that two versions have run on Facebook and Instagram since 7 October, with copy reading “All roads lead to more GTAVI on YouTube”. YouTube labels such as “podcasts” and “live” sit in the background.
That points to YouTube promoting GTA 6 content on its platform, such as commentary, podcasts and live streams, rather than teasing a Rockstar release. The first two trailers did premiere on YouTube, which explains why fans read more into it.
Why fans expect a trailer
Rockstar’s previous announcements have tended to land on Thursdays, and 8 October was one. That pattern fuelled hopes of a trailer then, but it passed without one. It’s a pattern, not a schedule.

Notebookcheck argues the signs point elsewhere: an album announcement. On 4 October, Spotify reportedly leaked that Cardi B and Fuerza Regida contributed two songs to the soundtrack, and Fuerza Regida has since posted a teaser clip referencing Vice City. Both artists have large YouTube audiences, so music videos or album news on the platform would fit the ad. None of this is confirmed by Rockstar.
What’s still unshown
The game launches on 19 November on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the last major video was the Netflix Extended Look on 27 August, which focused on Lucia and Jason’s relationship. Questions remain about their backstory, plus mechanics such as the heat system and how long police pursue the pair. A Game Informer preview described an advanced weather system and abundant wildlife in Leonida, but Rockstar hasn’t said whether weather will affect missions.
Separately, Xbox Cloud Gaming is reportedly set to stream the game exclusively on release day, a rumour tbreak covered earlier.
