Is a Spider-Man and Venom crossover confirmed?
A Spider-Man and Venom crossover remains an unconfirmed possibility rather than an announced Marvel project. Speaking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and producer Amy Pascal were asked how close Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Tom Hardy’s Venom had come to sharing a film.
“It would be great, let’s put it that way,” Pascal said. When Horowitz asked Feige whether he had hope, Feige answered, “We always have hope.” Pascal then added, “I have hope. We have hope.”
That is warm executive enthusiasm, but it comes without a film title, production schedule, release date, or firm commitment. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Tom Hardy’s Venom have yet to share a scene, and these comments repeat Marvel’s openness to the idea rather than move a crossover onto the confirmed slate. When does Spider-Man: Brand New Day open in the UAE?
VOX Cinemas lists Spider-Man: Brand New Day for 30 July 2026 in the UAE, with an 18TC classification. That puts the local cinema opening one day before the 31 July date shown on Marvel’s official film page.
Gulf News also reported an exclusive Reel Cinemas Dubai Mall dawn fan screening scheduled for 29 July, with doors opening at 7am. The publication described it as the earliest public showing of the film in the region, giving Dubai fans a particularly early opportunity to start examining every suspiciously dark costume detail.
Brand New Day is the fourth Tom Holland MCU Spider-Man film and is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with Feige and Pascal producing. It continues Peter Parker’s story after Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter rebuilding his life after the world forgot his identity.
Should fans expect Venom in Brand New Day?
Fans should treat any Venom appearance in Brand New Day as speculation. The official marketing materials cited for the film do not confirm Venom or a symbiote role, while Holland’s answer was deliberately careful enough to preserve whatever the film may contain.
Feige and Pascal’s exchange is still notable because it shows that the crossover remains part of the conversation around Holland’s Spider-Man. It offers no reliable basis for expecting Venom this time, however, and the confirmed premise remains focused on Peter establishing a new life after No Way Home.
For UAE audiences heading to cinemas, the sensible expectation is Spider-Man’s next chapter rather than a secretly promised crossover. If Marvel has hidden anything more ambitious inside Brand New Day, the film can deliver that surprise itself — exactly where superhero surprises belong.
