The trailers do not explicitly show a symbiote, a black Spider-Man suit, or Venom-style powers. Holland’s comment gives the broader theory fresh momentum, but it offers no solid basis for claims that Peter becomes infected during the film, after its ending, or before another Marvel project.
There is certainly room for the storyline: the fragment left behind in No Way Home still needs a payoff, and Holland’s Spider-Man has yet to wear the classic symbiote suit in the MCU.
