Avengers: Doomsday’s pre-sale ticket sales are running 65% ahead of Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s first two days of pre-sales, according to a report from The Wrap. Avengers: Doomsday opens on 18 December in the US and 17 December in the UAE — four months out, with the runtime unconfirmed and plenty of showtimes still unscheduled.

The benchmark is not a soft one. Brand New Day broke Endgame’s domestic opening-day record with $168 million on 31 July, set a $360 million opening weekend, and has since crossed $2 billion worldwide. A four-month-out pre-sale lead over that pace is the clearest counter-signal to MCU fatigue talk in a while.

Tickets first went on sale in July for premium formats on 1,000 “Infinity Vision” certified screens — the certification Disney introduced after Dune: Part 3 claimed the entire IMAX footprint for three weeks. Variety reported $16.5 million in first-day advance sales from that window, roughly double Deadpool & Wolverine’s first day, which had every format and screen on sale. Marvel widened pre-sales to all cinemas last week.

The Wrap adds one caveat: demand so far skews towards committed fans. The casual audience does not plan December cinema trips in August. Whether the lead survives contact with opening weekend is the next four months’ question.

December 18 is “Dunesday”: Doomsday meets Dune: Part 3

Doomsday shares its US opening date with Dune: Part 3, and both films want the same premium screens. Denis Villeneuve shot the third Dune with IMAX cameras and holds the format exclusively for three weeks, which is why Infinity Vision exists at all. Dune: Part Three lands in UAE cinemas on 17 December too, the same day as Doomsday.

Avengers: Doomsday pre-sale tickets in the UAE

VOX Cinemas has Avengers: Doomsday listed for 17 December with pre-sales open now and an 18TC rating on the listing. Roxy Cinemas shows a three-hour runtime — the figure Marvel has yet to confirm. The last presale window tbreak covered saw tickets go on sale with the trailer launch; this time Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s $2 billion run is the number Doomsday has in its sights.
