Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass on October 15, one of eight full games in the service’s next departure batch. The exit covers console, PC and cloud, according to Pure Xbox; Kotaku reports the same date. The Xbox mobile app marks the titles as “Leaving Soon”, Pure Xbox says.
The game joined Game Pass on day one, April 24, 2025, across cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S, according to Xbox Wire. It later won The Game Awards’ Game of the Year, as Epic Games Store reported, while tbreak covered its BAFTA Best Game win. Subscribers who have kept it on the backlog have less than two weeks to start or finish it through the subscription.

Clair Obscur is listed for console, PC and cloud. The change affects Game Pass access, not the game’s separate store listings: Xbox still offers it for purchase, and players can also buy it separately on other platforms. For another example of a major title rotating out, GTA 5’s earlier Game Pass departure affected subscribers in the region.
What UAE players can pay to keep playing
For PC players in the UAE, the Steam listing showed AED 159.20, down from AED 199, when checked. Amazon.ae also listed Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Xbox Series X at AED 189.62, including an estimated AED 9.03 import-fee deposit. It was in stock, sold by a third party and shipped from outside the UAE at the time checked. These prices are separate from Xbox Store pricing and may change independently of the Game Pass deadline.
A separate TrueAchievements roundup also includes Superball among the October 15 changes. Xbox’s Game Pass FAQ explains that catalogue access ends when a game leaves, so players need a separate purchase or another valid licence to continue playing.

Will an installed Game Pass copy still work after October 15?

Why do some reports count nine games leaving?
TrueAchievements includes Superball, a free-to-play title whose Game Pass Perks are ending. Pure Xbox counts the eight full games leaving the catalogue; Superball itself is not being removed as a paid Game Pass game.
