A playable PC build is reportedly circulating
A playable PC build of Beast of Reincarnation has reportedly reached piracy channels before the game’s official release. Kotaku reported that discussion and gameplay impressions had appeared on the DODI Repacks Discord server and the r/Piracy and r/PiratedGames subreddits.
Beast of Reincarnation is scheduled to launch on August 4, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. The reported leak therefore emerged three days before release and concerns the PC version rather than a change to the previously announced launch date or platform plans.
How the build entered circulation remains unconfirmed. Some users in the piracy communities have linked it to Steam preloading, but no technical evidence establishing that explanation has been made public. Game Freak and publisher Fictions had not commented on the alleged leak when Kotaku published its report.
Early performance reports are not reliable benchmarks
Performance impressions from a pirated pre-release build cannot establish how the retail game will run. Cracked executables, incomplete files, and missing launch updates can all produce results that differ from the version distributed through official stores.
One user reportedly ran the introductory area at 30–40 fps on an Asus ROG Ally X using 1080p, medium settings, and TAAU performance scaling. That user said the frame rate had not fallen below 30 fps and reported no noticeable stuttering during the early section.
A second user reported 70–80 fps at 4K with maximum settings and DLSS Ultra Quality on a PC using an AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D and Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti. That account also said the leaked build lacked a frame-generation option. Both reports are anonymous community claims based on an unauthorised copy, rather than controlled testing of the release version.
The report follows other pre-release piracy incidents
Beast of Reincarnation is the latest major game reportedly to circulate through piracy channels before launch. Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Forza Horizon 6, and Subnautica 2 have also faced reports of pre-release cracks during 2026.
The immediate concern for Game Freak and Fictions is that footage, story details, and technical claims can spread before the planned release. For players, the reported leak offers no dependable verdict on performance because the build’s integrity, configuration, and update status have not been independently established.
The game itself represents a broader multiplatform project for Game Freak, the studio primarily associated with the mainline Pokémon series on Nintendo systems. Its scheduled PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam release remains unchanged, while the origin and extent of the alleged leak remain unresolved.
