Apple is working on a higher-end HomeView with a larger screen and a moving part. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the device has a 9-inch display mounted on a robotic arm that swivels a full 360 degrees. Gurman expects it to launch in 2027 or 2028.
The timing is unusual because customers don’t have the first HomeView yet. Apple’s newsroom says pre-orders opened on 13 October, with availability from 13 November, but the product isn’t yet slated for the UAE. That model has a fixed 7-inch screen, so the rumoured version would add both size and motion, which presumably lets the display turn to follow whoever is speaking. Gurman hasn’t given a price, chip or feature list in the portion MacRumors summarised.
On naming, Gurman floated HomeView Max, HomeView Ultra and HomeView 360. MacRumors describes all three as speculative for now, so treat them as placeholders until Apple says otherwise.
What it means for UAE buyers
For readers in the UAE, the more immediate question is the existing model. HomeView pre-orders opened in selected markets, naming Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, the UK and the US, with no UAE on the list. We haven’t found a UAE price or date for HomeView on an Apple UAE page, so a regional launch of a 2027-28 sequel is well beyond anything Apple has said.
Anyone weighing the USD 299 HomeView would see a higher-end model follow in 2027 or 2028 if Gurman’s timing holds. Apple hasn’t commented on the report.
Has Apple confirmed a HomeView Max?
No. The details come from Mark Gurman’s Bloomberg newsletter as relayed by MacRumors, and Apple hasn’t announced or commented on a larger model. The names are Gurman’s guesses.
Can I buy the current HomeView in the UAE?
Not as things stand. Reports on the initial rollout don’t include the UAE, and we haven’t found a UAE price or release date on Apple’s UAE pages. Check Apple UAE before assuming local availability.
When could the 9-inch HomeView arrive?
Gurman expects 2027 or 2028. That’s a reporter’s estimate and not an Apple date.
