Paramount Skydance has launched Paramount Games Studio, a new in-house gaming division that brings together Skydance Interactive and Skydance New Media under a single banner while giving the teams access to Paramount's wider catalogue of IPs.
The move marks a more significant push into games for Paramount, which has largely relied on licensing its franchises to external developers and publishers. Under the new structure, gaming will sit alongside film, TV and streaming as one of the company's core content businesses.
Paramount Games Studio Will Reveal Its First AAA Game at Summer Game Fest
Paramount Games Studio is expected to reveal its first project during Summer Game Fest at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The company has described the game as an AAA title, although no further details have been announced ahead of the event.
The reveal should offer the first indication of how Paramount plans to use its franchises and internal development teams under the new structure. The studio has not yet confirmed the game's platforms, release window or whether it will be based on existing Paramount property.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra and Skydance’s Star Wars Game Remain in Development

The two projects will now sit within Paramount Games Studio alongside any future titles developed by the newly combined teams.
Tony Driscoll Named President of Paramount Games Studio
Tony Driscoll, Paramount’s head of corporate strategy and development, has been appointed president of Paramount Games Studio. He will continue to hold his existing role alongside the new position and will remain involved in the company’s integration planning for the Warner Bros. Discovery transaction.
The wider leadership team includes several executives from Skydance’s games business. Dan Prigg, previously head of Skydance Interactive, has been named executive vice president and head of games for Paramount, while Shawn Kittelsen will serve as senior vice president and head of creative and production.
Amy Hennig has also moved from her role as co-president of Skydance New Media to become studio creative director at Paramount Games Studio. Julian Beak, who previously served alongside Hennig as co-president of Skydance New Media, has left the company as part of the restructuring.
Other appointments include Andrea Silvers as senior vice president of marketing and communications, Kara Bilkiss as senior vice president of business development and licensing, and Ray Davis as senior vice president of engineering.
Paramount Plans to Develop Games Based on Its Franchises and Original Worlds
“This division launch marks a meaningful evolution in how we think about games — not as an extension of our business, but as a core pillar of our content strategy alongside film, television, and streaming,” Driscoll said.
According to Driscoll, Paramount Games Studio will work on a range of projects spanning casual games and AAA releases, including titles based on Paramount franchises as well as original worlds.
The announcement gives Paramount a more direct role in game development rather than limiting its gaming activity to external licensing deals. More details about the studio’s first AAA project are expected during Summer Game Fest.
