Meta Connect 2026: what launched in the UAE

Meta’s official Connect announcement confirms that Meta Glasses have launched in the UAE, starting at AED 1,160. The market also gets Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), starting at AED 1,960. Meta says Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) and Oakley Meta were already available locally, making this the first UAE launch for the Meta-branded glasses range.

The new Meta Glasses range includes a new Ivory colourway for the Kylie Jenner Starfire style and two LISA editions: Meta Adventurer LISA Edition and Meta Capri LISA Edition. Both support prescription lenses. Meta says the glasses retain the capture LED privacy protection, which flashes when a photo or video is recorded.

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) and Muse

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) brings a slimmer design, a customisable action button and up to nine hours of battery life. It is available in the UAE from AED 1,960. The model comes in Aviator, Zena and Wayfarer styles, while Meta says the wider Ray-Ban, Oakley and Meta Glasses line-up will exceed 100 options by the end of the year.

Meta is also bringing Muse to its AI glasses. The company says Muse can turn conversations into actions, such as adding items to a shopping list or finding a time to meet a friend. Muse is currently available in the US, Canada and Mexico, with more markets planned. Its new Realtime Avatar model adds live video conversation, customisable voices and background task progress.

The launch adds local context to our earlier coverage of Meta’s smart-glasses privacy fix. Meta’s privacy explainer says the capture LED remains part of the design. The camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio announced at Connect is not listed as a UAE launch in Meta’s regional details. Meta’s earlier Ray-Ban glasses update shows how the company has been adding hands-free features to the platform.

Meta VR Glasses are coming later

Meta also unveiled Meta VR Glasses, combining a cinema-style display with spatial computing. They are planned for spring 2027 across Quest markets, but Meta has not listed the UAE among the confirmed launch markets in the announcement. That makes the UAE glasses launch current, while the VR hardware remains a future product for local readers.
