Motorola has put a price on the Signature 27, and it’s a steep one: PCMag Middle East reports the flagship costs $1,599 in the US for a single 12GB RAM and 512GB configuration. Preorders open on November 19 and shelves fill on November 26. Motorola hasn’t published AED, SAR or EGP pricing, or a regional release date, so for readers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt the Signature 27 remains a phone to watch rather than buy.
The launch follows months of build-up. We first covered the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 unveiling in September, and earlier spec leaks pointed to the 12,000-nit panel. Motorola’s US landing page still reads as a teaser, so the full spec sheet comes via outlets that received the launch material.

Price and availability
The US phone is sold unlocked. Droid Life says you’ll be able to find it on Motorola’s website, Amazon, and Best Buy. According to Android Headlines, no carriers plan to carry the Signature 27. 9to5Google adds that US buyers who preorder from Motorola.com get a free Moto Watch Ultra for a limited time, along with a year of the Motocare extended warranty. Canada isn’t getting the phone for now.
The colours are Pantone Coal Smoke, with a woven, automotive-inspired texture, and Pantone Capulet Olive, which has a softer, textile-style finish.

A display Motorola says is the brightest around
Motorola claims the 12,000-nit peak makes this the brightest smartphone display in the world. The panel uses tandem OLED, which stacks two emissive layers. According to 9to5Google, Motorola says that design is 34% more energy efficient and has a 121% longer lifespan than traditional OLED. Since the screen is the most power-hungry part of a phone, the efficiency claim matters more to battery life than the headline brightness figure.

Cameras built around motion
Motorola calls this its best camera system yet. The 200MP periscope lens is the headline, but 9to5Google notes it’s a 3x optical telephoto that reaches 100x through hybrid zoom, so the 200MP sensor does much of that work through cropping.
The more unusual addition is a dedicated EVS action sensor, which PCMag Middle East describes as the first of its kind in a smartphone. It works with an Action Shot mode to keep fast-moving subjects sharper. The 50MP main sensor pairs Sony’s Lytia L910 with LOFIC technology for better colour, brightness and video. We haven’t tested any of this, and neither has PCMag, whose Kimberly Gedeon says she’s waiting on a review unit.

Battery, cooling and AI
The 7,000mAh cell is rated for 66 hours of mixed use and 47 hours of video playback. PCMag Middle East says the video figure is the closest match to its own battery test, so it plans to check Motorola’s numbers once it has a unit. On wireless charging, 9to5Google reports that Motorola’s charger reaches 50W but other chargers top out around 15W, with no Qi2 support.
A redesigned ArcticMesh cooling system uses a 40% larger vapour chamber, and 9to5Google adds that it includes diamond-infused thermal gel. Motorola targets sustained gaming and video recording with it.
On the software side, Motorola leans on Google’s Gemini Intelligence. Gemini can book an Uber or an OpenTable table, Rambler tidies up dictation when you stumble, and Create My Widget builds home-screen widgets from a prompt. The phone is also the first non-Pixel device named for GrapheneOS support, which should interest privacy-minded buyers.
Audio and where it sits
The coaxial bottom speaker pairs a bass driver with a tweeter, and a second speaker sits at the top. Bang & Olufsen tuned the system, a name 9to5Google says Android hasn’t seen since LG’s days in the phone market. PCMag Middle East calls it the only in-market phone with B&O-tuned audio.
At $1,599 the Signature 27 sits in ultra-flagship territory. For context on how far Motorola has come, our original Signature review and the comparison with the iPhone 17 Pro cover the first model.
When will the Motorola Signature 27 launch in the UAE?
Motorola hasn’t announced a UAE price, date or retailer. The only confirmed figures are for the US, so check Motorola’s regional channels for an AED price before assuming anything.
How long will the Signature 27 get updates?
Motorola promises seven years of Android OS and security updates. The phone ships with Android 17.
Can I charge it wirelessly with any pad?
Yes, but not at full speed. The 50W figure applies to Motorola’s own wireless charger. 9to5Google reports that other chargers reach roughly 15W, and the phone lacks Qi2 magnets.
