Kim Kaphwan joins Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on 24 September

SNK will add Kim Kaphwan to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on 24 September 2026, bringing the veteran taekwondo fighter into Season 3 alongside his sons, Kim Dong Hwan and Kim Jae Hoon. The update also adds new Arcade Mode and Episodes of South Town content. Gematsu reports that the character is voiced by June Yoon in English and Kunihiro Kawamoto in Japanese.

Kim Kaphwan debuted in Fatal Fury 2 in 1992 and returns as a Season Pass 3 character. SNK’s trailer presents him as a justice-driven taekwondo master whose attacks are built around his trademark kicks. The English character trailer is available now.

The release completes the game’s first playable reunion of Kim Kaphwan and his sons. His Episodes of South Town story follows the three characters as they meet in South Town, while Arcade Mode focuses on his training and return to the King of Fighters tournament. Anime News Network says Season 3 will continue with Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji in October, Laocorn in November and an unannounced character in December.

What else is coming to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves?

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Nintendo Switch 2 version arrives digitally on 22 October, with a physical release planned for January 2027, according to SNK’s announcement reported by Gematsu.

The Legend Edition, which includes Seasons Pass 1 and 2, is currently listed in SNK’s release material at 40% off. The release does not give a UAE store price, so local pricing should be checked on the relevant platform storefront.
