iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders open at 4pm UAE time on Saturday 12 September

Apple has moved pre-orders to a Saturday this year. Orders open at 4pm in the UAE on Saturday 12 September, and the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max reach stores on Friday 18 September. Here is how to be ready rather than refreshing a spinning page at 4:01pm.

What can you pre-order, and for how much

Colours are black, silver, glacier and the new burgundy. Every tier across the range is listed in our full Apple UAE price list. AirPods 5, the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4 are already open for order and land on the same date, 18 September. The iPhone Duo is on a separate timetable: pre-orders on 16 October, on sale 23 October.

Do this before Saturday afternoon

  • Sign in to your Apple Account on the Apple Store app now and confirm your delivery address and payment card. Most failed pre-orders are due to expired cards.
  • Run the trade-in estimate in advance. Apple quotes range from AED 160 to AED 3,260 depending on the device, and the estimate is faster to accept than starting from scratch at 4pm.
  • Decide your storage tier before you open the page. The 512GB step is AED 850 on both phones; the 2TB step is AED 2,550 — our iPhone 18 UAE guide breaks down which tier suits which buyer.
  • If you want a specific colour, decide that too. Burgundy is the new one, which historically means it slips first.
  • Check whether you need a case at order time — TechWoven is AED 269; Clear and Silicone are AED 219 each.

The hour before and the hour after

Apple’s UAE store goes into a holding page shortly before 4pm and reopens with orders live. In practice, the first fifteen minutes decide your delivery date: stock for the newest colour at the highest storage tier is what disappears first, and every year the delivery estimate slips from “18 September” to “1-2 weeks” while people are still choosing a case.

Two habits are worth copying from people who do this every year. Have the Apple Store app already open and signed in rather than the website, because it keeps your payment details ready. And add the phone to your bag before you configure a trade-in — you can attach the trade-in during checkout, and hunting for your old serial number at 4:02pm is how delivery dates are lost.

Buy from Apple or from a carrier?

Apple’s own store has the widest selection of colours and storage options on day one, and it is the only channel where the delivery date is visible before you pay. If you want a specific configuration — 1TB in burgundy, say — this is where to be at 4pm.

e& and du publish their plan bundles a day or two before pre-orders open. Their advantage is instalments and bundled data rather than the phone price itself, so the comparison worth making is total cost over 24 months, not the headline monthly figure. Their disadvantage is stock: carriers usually receive fewer of the higher storage tiers.

Sharaf DG, Emax, Jumbo and Virgin Megastore take pre-orders with their own instalment plans and gift-card sweeteners. Amazon.ae normally lists on or near launch day rather than at the pre-order minute, so it is not a day-one route.

What not to buy at 4pm

Cases and accessories are the easiest place to overspend under time pressure. Apple’s TechWoven case is AED 269, and the Clear and Silicone cases are AED 219. None of them will sell out — you can add one next week without affecting your phone’s delivery date.

The accessory worth considering in advance is a charger, since nothing ships in the box except a cable. And if you are buying the phone alongside AirPods 5 or a new Apple Watch, note that those are already on sale and do not need to be part of the 4pm scramble.

Choosing a storage tier without regretting it

The 512GB step costs AED 850 on both phones, and the 2TB step costs AED 2,550, which makes storage the second-biggest decision after the model.

The rule that holds up: if you shoot video in ProRes or 4K regularly, you’ll go past 256GB. If your library lives in iCloud and you shoot photos, 256GB is enough, and iCloud+ starts at AED 3.99 a month — cheaper over two years than the 512GB step. The 2TB tier is for people who edit on their phones and already know who they are.

Our full Apple UAE price list covers every tier at launch, and the iPhone 18 UAE price and release date guide is updated as availability changes.

If you are waiting for the iPhone Duo instead

Apple’s foldable is on a separate timetable: pre-orders open at 4pm on Friday 16 October, with sales from 23 October, at AED 8,499. Nothing about Saturday’s queue applies to it, and if the Duo is your phone, there is no reason to be at a screen this weekend.

Remember, these are eSIM-only

The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max have no SIM tray. Both e& and du support eSIM and will transfer your number, but do it before you factory-reset or sell your old phone, not after.

What arrives before the phone does

iOS 27 is free on Monday, 14 September, four days before the phones land, so you can spend the weekend on the new software on your current iPhone. Apple Intelligence works only if your device language is one of the sixteen supported ones — Arabic is not among them.

For the announcements behind the pre-order, our iPhone 18 event live blog covered the event as it happened.

4pm UAE time on Saturday 12 September, which is 5am Pacific. Delivery and in-store availability begin on Friday, 18 September.
