There is no charger in the iPhone 18 Pro box, and the one most people buy by reflex — Apple’s AED 61 20W adapter — is the wrong choice for this phone. Apple’s headline figure for the iPhone 18 Pro is 50% in around 15 minutes, and the small print matters: that needs a 60W-capable adapter with Adjustable Voltage Supply (USB PD 3.1) and a 60W-capable cable. Almost nothing on the shelves in Dubai does that yet — Apple’s own AED 169 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max is the one adapter we can confirm hits it. Everything below is about how close you can get for a lot less, because on 20W you are paying for a fast-charging phone and then throttling it.
Here is what is worth buying in the UAE instead, from brands with a real track record: Anker, UGREEN and Belkin. If you have just ordered a phone, our iPhone 18 Pro pre-order guide covers delivery timings, and the case guide is the other accessory you will want on day one.
What wattage do you actually need?
A 45W USB-C charger is the value sweet spot. It will not reach Apple’s 15-minute claim — only a 60W-capable Adjustable Voltage Supply adapter does that — but it costs AED 70–100 instead of AED 169, charges dramatically faster than the 20W brick, and doubles as a charger for an iPad or a MacBook Air. Buy the Apple adapter if you want the fastest wired charging the phone is capable of; buy a 45W Anker or UGREEN if you want most of that speed for half the money. On the wireless side, look for Qi2 at 15W or the newer Qi2.2 at 25W — older 7.5W magnetic pads are half the speed for not much less money.
Best wired charger for most people: Anker Nano 45W
Compact, foldable prongs, a 1.8m cable in the box and 45W with PPS support, for less than double the price of Apple’s slower 20W brick. This is the one to buy if you buy nothing else. UGREEN’s Nexode Air 45W is the alternative if you want the smallest possible plug for a travel bag.
Best for a desk or a bag: UGREEN Nexode 45W with retractable cable
The cable is built in and retracts into the body, with two spare ports on the side for a watch and a pair of earbuds. It solves the problem every charger has, which is that you lose the cable.

Amazon AED 90 ViewFor the enthusiast: Anker Nano 45W with Smart Display
The same 45W as above, with a small screen reading out wattage, temperature and battery percentage, plus a Care Mode that caps charging at 80% to slow battery ageing. Overkill, and quite good fun.

Amazon AED 149 ViewCheapest Qi2 wireless charger worth owning: Anker Zolo
AED 69 for a properly Qi2-certified 15W magnetic pad — the same wireless speed as Apple’s own MagSafe puck, from a brand that will honour a warranty. Note the adapter is not included, so pair it with one of the 45W bricks above. If you want the fastest wireless charging available, UGREEN’s MagFlow pad runs at Qi2 25W.

Amazon AED 119 ViewBest for travel: Belkin BoostCharge Foldable Qi2
Folds flat, charges phone and earbuds together, includes the power supply and costs AED 60. It also props the phone up at an angle, which makes it a passable bedside clock with iOS StandBy.

Amazon AED 60 ViewBest bedside station: Anker MagGo 3-in-1
Phone, Apple Watch and AirPods on one dock, Qi2 15W for the phone and the adapter included, at AED 269. Belkin’s UltraCharge Pro is the premium alternative: Qi2.2 at 25W with a cooling fan and a 45W adapter in the box, but at AED 424 it costs as much as a storage upgrade.

Amazon AED 424 ViewBest magnetic power bank: Anker MagGo 10,000mAh
The iPhone 18 Pro is rated at up to 36 hours of video playback, which is genuinely a lot, but a magnetic pack is still what gets you through a day of shooting video in Dubai heat. This one is Qi2-certified at 15W wireless, 20W over the cable, and slim enough to keep in a pocket with the phone attached. Anker’s MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro, announced at IFA with a built-in cooling fan, arrives in the UAE from 29 September if you would rather wait.

Amazon AED 218 ViewThe one to avoid: Apple’s 20W adapter
It is not a bad product, it is just the wrong one. At AED 61 it costs roughly what a 45W Anker or UGREEN charger costs, and it is nowhere near the charging speed Apple advertises for the phone. If you want Apple’s box, warranty and the advertised 15-minute figure, spend AED 169 on the 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max instead.

What charger do you need for the iPhone 18 Pro’s fastest charging?
Apple’s specification is up to 50% in around 15 minutes, but only with a 60W-capable adapter with Adjustable Voltage Supply (USB PD 3.1) and a 60W-capable cable — in practice Apple’s own AED 169 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max. Over MagSafe, Apple quotes 50% in 30 minutes with a 35W or higher adapter. A 45W charger will not hit the 15-minute figure but gets you far closer than the 20W adapter, which cannot come near it.
Is Qi2 the same as MagSafe?
Qi2 is the open standard built on Apple’s magnetic design, and Qi2-certified chargers deliver the same 15W to an iPhone as Apple’s MagSafe puck. Qi2.2 raises that to 25W. Both work through any case with a magnet array, including all the cases in our iPhone 18 Pro case guide.
Does the iPhone 18 Pro come with a charger in the UAE?
No. The box contains a USB-C cable only, so a wall adapter is a separate purchase whether you buy from Apple, a retailer or a telco.
