Pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max opened at 4pm on 12 September, and the phones land in UAE stores on Friday 18 September. Apple will happily sell you a case with it — AED 219 for the Clear Case, AED 269 for TechWoven — but there is a much cheaper route and one useful quirk of this year’s phones that saves a lot of people money.
Your iPhone 17 Pro case almost certainly fits
Apple’s own spec sheets give the iPhone 18 Pro Max as 163.4 x 78.0 x 8.75mm and last year’s iPhone 17 Pro Max as 163.4 x 78.0 x 8.8mm. Identical width and height, 0.05mm thinner — a difference you could not measure with a ruler. That is why nearly every case on Amazon.ae is sold as an “iPhone 18 Pro / 17 Pro” fit rather than a new product, and why you should check your drawer before buying anything.
One caveat worth knowing: matching the body dimensions does not guarantee the camera cutout lines up, because Apple has redesigned the rear camera plate before. Every case below is one the maker explicitly lists for the iPhone 18 Pro, which is the only reliable signal until stock is in hand.
How we picked these
Nobody in the UAE has an iPhone 18 Pro yet, so nobody has genuinely tested a case on one — including us. Be sceptical of star ratings on these listings: one screen protector we found shows more than 125,000 ratings for a phone that has not shipped, because Amazon merges reviews across older models. We have ignored ratings entirely and stuck to brands with a long track record of protection and published drop-test standards: Spigen, ESR, OtterBox, and TORRAS. Prices are Amazon.ae at the time of writing and move around.
Best all-rounder: Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit
The default recommendation for anyone who wants to see the phone they just paid AED 5,099 for. A hard clear back with a flexible bumper, air-cushioned corners and a proper MagSafe magnet array, at roughly a third of Apple’s Clear Case price. Spigen’s clear cases are also among the better performers on yellowing, which is the failure mode that ruins cheap clear cases within months.

Amazon AED 90 ViewBest value protection: Spigen Rugged Armor MagFit
If you would rather not see the phone, this is the sensible alternative: matte TPU, carbon-fibre accents, raised camera lip and air-cushion corners. It hides scuffs, doesn’t slide off a car seat, and is one of the few cases at this price with a magnet strong enough to hold a MagSafe wallet.

Amazon AED 100 ViewCheapest case worth buying: ESR Classic Hybrid
Under AED 60 for a MagSafe-compatible clear case with an anti-yellowing coating. ESR is the brand we would trust at the bottom of the market, and the Flex Stand version is the more interesting buy: a kickstand built into the camera ring that props the phone up for video without adding a slab of plastic to the back.

Amazon AED 36 ViewBest drop protection: OtterBox Lumen MagSafe
OtterBox is the name people buy when they have already broken a phone once. The Lumen is the slim end of its range — tested to three times the military drop standard while staying thin enough to pocket — and it is one of the few premium cases already listed for the 18 Pro. Note that OtterBox’s tougher Defender Pro is still only listed for the iPhone 17 Pro in the UAE, so hold off on that one.

Amazon AED 177 ViewBest built-in kickstand: TORRAS Q3 Air
TORRAS builds a 360-degree rotating metal stand into the back, so the phone stands up in portrait or landscape anywhere — on a plane tray, on a treadmill, propped on a desk during a call. It costs more than Apple’s own case, which is a lot to ask, but it is the one case here that changes how you use the phone. The VegSkin version swaps the plastic back for silicone leather if you want the Apple-ish finish, and the plain Stronger Magnetic clear case is the budget way into the same brand.

What to skip
Amazon.ae has more than 200 iPhone 18 Pro cases listed, and a large share of them are from unbranded sellers with thousands of inherited ratings, AED 24 prices, and no drop-test claims. A case that does not hold its magnet or splits at the corner is not a bargain on an AED 5,099 phone. If the listing does not name a brand you recognise or state a protection standard, treat the rating as meaningless.

Will an iPhone 17 Pro case fit the iPhone 18 Pro?
Almost certainly, yes. Apple lists the iPhone 18 Pro Max at 163.4 x 78.0 x 8.75mm, compared with the 17 Pro Max at 163.4 x 78.0 x 8.8mm, so the footprint is unchanged, and most makers sell a single case for both. The only thing to check is the camera cutout, which is why we recommend cases that list the 18 Pro in the listing.
Do these cases work with MagSafe and Qi2 charging?
Every case on this list has a built-in magnet array, so MagSafe pucks, Qi2 wireless chargers and magnetic power banks attach through the case. Our iPhone 18 Pro charger guide covers which chargers are actually worth buying.
How much do Apple’s own iPhone 18 Pro cases cost in the UAE?
Apple charges AED 219 for the Clear Case and Silicone Case with MagSafe, and AED 269 for the TechWoven Case. The FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe and the Crossbody Strap are also AED 269 each.
The Silicone Case with MagSafe comes in five colours this year — Crisp Blue, Navy Blue, Magenta, Olive and Burgundy — and Sharaf DG already has them listed for both sizes ahead of the phones themselves. For the iPhone 18 Pro the part numbers are MK8W4ZM/A (Crisp Blue), MK8X4ZM/A (Navy Blue), MK8T4ZM/A (Magenta), MK8V4ZM/A (Olive) and MK8U4ZM/A (Burgundy); for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, MK934ZM/A, MK944ZM/A, MK924ZM/A and MK914ZM/A cover Crisp Blue, Navy Blue, Olive and Burgundy. Worth quoting at a till, because staff will otherwise reach for the iPhone 17 Pro version of the same colour.
