When is the Apple September 2026 event, and what time in the UAE?
The keynote starts at 9:00 PM UAE time on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 — 8:00 PM in Riyadh, 7:00 PM in Cairo, 10:00 AM Pacific. Our live coverage opens at around 8:30 PM with the last-minute rumours, then runs through the keynote and past it, with UAE pricing and availability added the moment Apple posts them. Apple confirmed the date in late August.
What Apple is expected to announce
This is not a routine September. For the first time there is no standard iPhone in the autumn line-up: Apple has reportedly split its launch, and the iPhone 18, the 18e and a second-generation iPhone Air are now expected in spring 2027. What is left for Wednesday is all premium — plus one genuinely historic debut.
The foldable iPhone
Apple’s first folding iPhone — most rumours say it will be called iPhone Ultra — is the headliner: a book-style design that opens to a roughly 7.6- to 7.8-inch inner display, a titanium frame, and a price expected to clear $2,000. Early supply is rumoured to be tight and possibly US-first, so regional availability is one of the big questions we will be chasing on the night. We have gone through the leaks in detail in our foldable iPhone UAE price and release date guide.
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max
The design largely carries over; the changes sit under the glass — the 2nm A20 Pro chip, a variable-aperture main camera, a Dynamic Island roughly 35% narrower, and Apple’s own C2 modem. A new Dark Cherry finish has been circulating for months, and we have mapped out the full iPhone 18 Pro colour line-up. If you are budgeting, our breakdown of the expected iPhone 18 Pro Max price in the UAE explains why AED 5,950–6,350 is the realistic range for the 256GB model.
Apple Watch and AirPods
An Apple Watch Series 12 — rumoured to add always-on heart-rate tracking, with a ceramic option in the mix — an Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5 in noise-cancelling and standard versions round out the expected line-up.
A new CEO on stage
One more first: this is John Ternus’s debut keynote as Apple CEO, after taking over from Tim Cook on 1 September. How Apple presents itself under new leadership is a story in itself.
How to watch the Apple event in the UAE
The keynote streams free on apple.com, the Apple TV app, and Apple’s YouTube channel from 9:00 PM UAE. You do not need an Apple device to watch it in a browser. If you would rather read than stream — or you are watching with the sound off — stay on this page: we post every announcement here as it happens, with AED prices as soon as Apple’s UAE store updates.
What we will be covering live
- Every product Apple announces, with the official name and specs
- UAE pricing in AED the moment apple.com/ae goes live
- Pre-order and on-sale dates for the UAE and Saudi Arabia
- What Apple ends up calling the foldable, and whether it ships regionally this year
- The things Apple skips over on stage but buries in the press release
When can you pre-order in the UAE?
Reports point to pre-orders opening on Saturday, 12 September, with devices on sale from Friday, 18 September. Apple has avoided 11 September for launches since 2001. One detail worth setting an alarm for: the pre-order window may open at midnight Pacific rather than the usual 5:00 AM, which would put it at 11:00 AM Dubai time instead of the 4:00 PM slot UAE buyers are used to. We will confirm the exact time here on the night.
Apple September 2026 event FAQ
What time does the Apple event start in the UAE?
9:00 PM UAE time on Wednesday, 9 September 2026. That is 8:00 PM in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and 7:00 PM in Egypt. Our live blog opens about 30 minutes earlier.
Is Apple launching a standard iPhone 18 in September?
Reportedly not. The base iPhone 18, the 18e and the next iPhone Air are expected in spring 2027, leaving the 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and the foldable for this event.
How much will the foldable iPhone cost in the UAE?
Nothing is official until Apple says so. Analyst forecasts of $1,999–2,500 would translate to roughly AED 8,500–10,600 at Apple’s usual regional pricing, which would make it the most expensive iPhone ever sold here. We will publish the real AED figure on this page the moment it appears.
Where can I watch the keynote?
Free on apple.com, the Apple TV app and Apple’s YouTube channel. No Apple device or sign-in required.
Do I need to refresh this page for new updates?
No. New entries load automatically as we post them.
