Parkin customers can now top up their wallets with cash or a credit card at uPay kiosks across the UAE, under a new Parkin uPay partnership announced on 17 September. The payment channel adds a physical option for customers who do not use digital banking tools for every parking transaction.
Parkin uPay partnership adds cash top-ups
The partnership connects Parkin’s wallet to uPay’s network of more than 1,700 self-service kiosks. The release says the network includes more than 1,350 kiosks in Dubai, 150 in Abu Dhabi, 150 in Sharjah and 50 in Ajman, with access available around the clock.
Customers can use cash or a credit card at the kiosks to add funds to their Parkin wallets. Parkin’s general information page lists the wallet as a payment method, alongside Apple Pay, Google Pay and credit cards.
Eng. Talal Alajmi, Parkin’s chief technology officer, said the arrangement would extend access to customers across its payment system. Umar Dombaev, uPay’s chief executive, said the partnership was intended to remove barriers between customers and everyday services.
uPay says its kiosks support more than 600 services, including mobile payments, bills, e-wallets, transport and entertainment. Its payments list confirms the network accepts cash and cards, though the Parkin wallet integration is the new addition.
Parkin operates about 268,000 paid parking spaces, according to the release, and recorded 141 million parking transactions in 2025. The uPay option gives drivers another way to add money before parking. Parkin customers can still use the existing app and digital payment methods, while uPay’s physical network supports customers who would rather use a kiosk than reset a password.
