Gangstar Mirage City, the free-to-play open-world game from Gameloft and publisher Level Infinite, is now live in the UAE and across MENA. The game arrived on iOS and Android on 20 August with more than 30 million pre-registrations behind it.
The franchise has been squeezing console-sized cities onto phones since 2006. The new entry moves the action to Rooklyn, a near-future metropolis where players build a criminal empire, customise vehicles and work through story missions alongside unscripted street events.

Gangstar Mirage City: what’s in the game
Multiplayer is the main event. Modes include co-op heists, faction battles, a vehicle-based Taxi Takeover and a restaurant-themed gang war called Fight of the Bites. Empire building runs on territory control, with a unified net worth system tracking what your operations earn. There is also a Director’s Mode for recording custom story videos, should your criminal empire need a trailer.
MENA players get the full localisation: Arabic menus, missions, subtitles and item descriptions, one of nine languages on offer (the voiceover stays in English).
The region also had its own launch window — the game opened at 06:00 Dubai time — and pre-registration rewards are claimable now through the in-game mail: 300 Diamonds, Vehicle Upgrade Vouchers and a Vehicle Pack from the Global Vault Heist campaign, with winning MENA factions earning an extra 300 Diamonds each.
A Creator Program with a shared cash pool, in-game currency and reposting from official accounts is live, and a month-long All Gangstar Show livestream series follows. The MENA schedule is due on the official website, alongside a hidden code in producer Don Phil’s introduction video that unlocks further in-game bonuses.
It also lands in a busy year for open-world crime games: GTA 6 is due later this year, and Tencent’s other GTA-scale project, Last Sentinel, reportedly stalled. Mirage City is not that project — it is the one that shipped.
What it means if you’re gaming in the UAE
The game is free to download now on the UAE App Store and Google Play, and it is rated 18+. Arabic text support covers everything from menus to item descriptions. Rewards from the pre-registration campaign are claimable in-game from today, and players whose factions won in MENA have an extra 300 Diamonds waiting.
