Xiaomi 18 Fold: preorders open in China
The Xring O3 will power the Xiaomi 18 Fold and the Pad 9 Pro Max, both due in September in China. The 18 Fold uses a wide foldable design, in the same shape as the best foldable phones in the UAE currently on sale. Preorders are live in China, though Xiaomi has not announced pricing.
Xring O100 and D100
The other two chips sit further out. The O100 is a 6nm AI chip using a near-memory architecture that delivers up to 1.22Tbps of bandwidth, aimed at on-device AI across phones, cars and robots. The D100 is Xiaomi’s first domestic 3nm chip for intelligent driving, with a 20-core CPU and 16-core NPU that can run local models of up to 200 billion parameters; commercial availability is planned for 2027. Both fit Xiaomi’s US$8.8 billion AI push across phones and EVs.

The point of interest for UAE buyers is the foldable race more than the chip itself. Samsung’s Fold8 is already on sale locally, and Apple’s foldable is expected in September.
