Shory has unveiled Shory AI, a conversational agent that compares car insurance quotes and completes the purchase, at Ai Everything Abu Dhabi 2026. The UAE insurtech announced the launch on 8 October.
Shory describes it as an agent, not a chatbot. A typical chatbot answers questions; this one guides customers through the decision. It sits on Shory’s digital insurance infrastructure and can compare available quotes, explain differences in coverage, benefits and exclusions, and answer questions about specific policies. It works in English and Arabic.
Once you pick a policy, the agent can also help you finish the car insurance purchase in the same conversation. Shory says the aim is to cut the effort of reading through several policies, terms and prices before deciding.
What we don’t know yet
The announcement doesn’t say which insurers’ quotes the agent draws on, how it handles a customer’s personal data, or whether it extends beyond car insurance to Shory’s home, health and pet products. It also gives no usage figures or a rollout date beyond the unveiling. The “first-of-its-kind” claim comes from Shory and isn’t independently verified. Shory already offers a Shory AI assistant guide on its site, so existing app users may recognise the name.
